Obama Administration Opens the Door for Men to Enter Women’s Restrooms.

The Department of Justice is requiring that the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith allow a man to use the women’s restroom. Jennifer Braley is a 38-year-old father, who has been married and divorced twice and now self-identifies as a female. The university tried to accommodate him with gender-neutral restrooms, but that was not good enough. According to a report from CampusReform.org, after Braley filed a complaint with the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ), administered by Attorney General Eric Holder, the DOJ caused the university to reverse its policy and allow the anatomically male student to use the women’s restrooms.

"It has never been about equality; It continues to be about changing public morals and elevating homosexual rights ahead of the privacy rights and religious liberties of others. This is just another example of the consequences of including ‘sexual orientation’ and ‘gender identity’ to the list of other protected civil rights classes, such as race, age, and disability. It is really just the tip of the iceberg. Below the surface of homosexual rights and same-sex marriage is a catastrophic ice shelf. America needs to stop and change course" said Matt Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel.

Aimed at raising money for the sex-change operation, Braley notes that he has been living as a female full-time for a year and a half. He was using the women’s restrooms on campus without trouble until he began conducting Gender Identity Disorder lectures in the university’s psychology department. “Those lectures would be the beginning of all my problems….Some saw me using the women’s public restrooms and complained to the university…My second problem arose when I tried to move onto campus,” Braley writes.

Here we go again...folks.  Another man trying to force people to accept his "self-identity" as a woman.  I know I have posted something similar to this a while back but I believe it is worth taking another look at and for the record if I find more stories such as this, I sure as hell am going to blog about it. 

Come on Christians, conservatives, Republicans, Democrats or anyone who  opposes this type of action! We have GOT to make a stand against immorality. 

Do you stand on the Word of God or on the word of man?  It's time to make a choice.

 There is no middle-ground on this topic. I am not being hateful or harsh. But Christians have been silent for far too long. I, personally, would NOT feel comfortable using a public restroom with a man, pretending to be a woman. Sorry, that doesn't fly with me.  And I think every woman would agree with me on that, especially those with young girls or teenage girls.

US expels top Syrian diplomat from Washington, joins other nations in protest of killings

The U.S. State Department is kicking out Syria's top diplomat to Washington, joining several other countries in expelling Syrian officials in a bid to increase pressure on leader Bashar Assad following Friday's massacre of civilians.

State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said Tuesday that the U.S. government has given Syria's charge d'affaires 72 hours to leave the country.

"In response to the May 25 massacre in the village of Houla, today the United States informed the Syrian Charge d'Affaires Zuheir Jabbour of his expulsion from the United States," she said in a statement. "We took this action in coordination with partner countries including Australia, Canada, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, France and Germany."

She cited confirmation by the United Nations that the massacre Friday left more than 90 dead, including at least 30 children under the age of 10 -- some counts put the death toll higher. Nuland said "the vicious assault" involved tanks and artillery "that only the regime possesses."

"There are also reports that many families were summarily executed in their homes by regime forces," Nuland said. "We hold the Syrian government responsible for this slaughter of innocent lives. This massacre is the most unambiguous indictment to date of the Syrian government's flagrant violations of its UN Security Council obligations ... along with the regime's ongoing threat to peace and security."

Officials from a series of countries, including France, Britain and Australia, said earlier Tuesday they were expelling Syrian diplomats.

According to Reuters, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also spoke with U.N. envoy Kofi Annan Tuesday and urged both sides to stop the violence.

In a meeting with Assad, Annan said Syria is at a "tipping point" and that he appealed for the country to take "bold steps now -- not tomorrow."

Annan said Assad condemned the killings and added that he would allow "unfettered access for the UN and aid agencies" to deliver humanitarian aid.

The killings Friday in Houla, a collection of farming villages in Syria's Homs province, marked one of the deadliest single events in the 15-month-old uprising against Assad's rule.

The U.N., using numbers higher than those cited by Nuland, said 49 children and 34 women were among the 108 people killed.

French President Francois Hollande told reporters Tuesday that Ambassador Lamia Shakkour will be notified "today or tomorrow" that she must leave.

Hollande said that after high-level discussions with British Prime Minister David Cameron and U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, it had been decided to deploy "a certain number of ... pressure tactics," against Syria, including the expulsion of the ambassador.

British officials said that the U.K. is expelling three Syrian diplomats to protest the killings, among them Charge d'Affaires Ghassan Dalla -- the country's top-ranking diplomat in London. The officials demanded anonymity because they said they were not allowed to discuss the action ahead of a planned public statement from Foreign Secretary William Hague.

The ambassador to Germany, Radwan Loutfi, was given 72 hours to leave Germany on Tuesday. Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle said Germany and its allies hope "that this unambiguous message does not fall on deaf ears in Damascus."

The Italian Foreign Ministry said Ambassador Khaddour Hassan was called to the ministry and informed of his new status -- which also was extended to an unspecified number of Syrian functionaries.
Spain said it was giving Syrian Ambassador Hussam Edin Aala and four other diplomats based in Madrid three days to leave the country.

Switzerland also said Syrian ambassadors were unwelcome.

In Canberra, Australian Foreign Minister Bob Carr said Charge d'Affaires Jawdat Ali, the most senior Syrian diplomat in Australia, is to be expelled along with another diplomat from the Syrian Embassy. He said they were told to leave the country within 72 hours, in response to the massacre in Houla.

"This is the most effective way we've got of sending a message of revulsion of what has happened in Syria," Carr said.

In a statement, he called the killings a "hideous and brutal crime," and said Australia would not engage with the Syrian government unless it abides by a U.N. cease-fire plan.

In Vienna, Foreign Ministry spokesman Nikolaus Lutterotti said the Syrian ambassador is being summoned to the ministry where officials will deliver a very hard protest about the massacre.

When asked if the expulsions were EU-wide, Lutterotti said this had not yet been decided. He said the ambassador to Austria would not be expelled as he holds an additional function as the representative to the UN organizations in Vienna.

The U.N. estimates 9,000 people have been killed since the uprising began in March 2011.

The U.N. said Tuesday that entire families were shot in their homes during a massacre in Syria last week that killed more than 100 people, including children. Most of the victims were shot at close range, the U.N. said.

Rupert Colville, a spokesman for the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights, said the conclusions were based on accounts gathered by U.N. monitors and corroborated by other sources. He said U.N. monitors found that fewer than 20 of the 108 people killed in the west-central area of Houla were killed by artillery fire.

"Most of the rest of the victims were summarily executed in two separate incidents," Colville told reporters in Geneva. "At this point it looks like entire families were shot in their houses."

It is a horrible situation and I am so grateful that I do not live in a nation where I would be in constant alert fearing that me or my children would be slaughtered in our beds or having our homes bombed.  I cannot imagine living like that. It is a terrifying reality for those poor innocent civilians. 


I believe the US government and our allies made the right decision to oust out all the Syrian ambassador's from their nations. I am in agreement.


What they will do next, who knows?  Should we interfere in this civil battle or let them destroy themselves?  I hate to say this, but I don't think we need to police another volatile country that has been known for this type of violence for years.  It's time we focus on our own nation and it is time to bring our troops home. I think the US has done we can and it is up to the governments of these nations to a stand and fight back with every thing they have against terrorists.

Memorial Day Tribute 2012

I shared this with my church yesterday and I was very, very nervous, but it came from my heart.  I had asked one of my boys what Memorial Day was and he honestly didn't know. That broke my heart.  And after explaining it to him, I felt compelled to share it with my church and my Pastor welcomed it. 


Below are my words and then a poem that fit perfectly with what I had spoken.



I would like to say a few words about Memorial Day

Memorial Day is not about having an extra day off from work, it’s NOT about grilling hot dogs or hamburgers over the grill, or having huge parties.

No.

Memorial Day is a day is a day to remember and honor our fallen American and Allied heroes that served their great nations under God Almighty. They fought together side by side through their sweat, blood and tears and ultimately gave their lives so that we, today, could enjoy our freedom.

I cannot begin to express or even articulate my utmost gratitude and appreciation for their sacrifices and tomorrow this patriot will not allow Memorial Day to go unnoticed.

Please remember that freedom isn’t free, We often pay a price to keep our liberty, please remember those we loved, who fought for us and died; And those we never knew for whom others mourned and cried as we enjoy our picnics and BBQ’s and spending time with our loved ones.

S.E. Cupp Discusses Her Photoshopped Hustler Picture On The "View"

S.E. Cupp got support from the hosts of “The View” Thursday when she appeared to discuss the fallout from the fake explicit photo of herself that recently appeared in Hustler magazine.

“I was horrified. It was disgusting and even though it wasn’t — I didn’t actually do that, by the end of the day I felt ashamed as if I had,” Cupp said of the photo. “Knowing that this photo will be out there forever, my children will see it when I have them one day, it’s sad.”

Co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck pointed out that the National Organization for Women has remained silent on the issue — calling them “the National Organization for Some Women.”

“The outrage that we’ve seen for some other examples of this has not yet been matched,” Cupp said. “That’s OK, I’m not a victim here.”

Cupp said she probably won‘t be seeking legal action because it doesn’t seem like she would have a case.

“This is a First Amendment issue, [Hustler publisher] Larry Flynt does this professionally,” she said.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg seemed particularly outraged on Cupp’s behalf.

“Whether you’re a conservative or a Democrat, this should — this is not OK,” Goldberg said. “It’s offensive. This is not the dialogue we have when we disagree.”

LOOK at Roseanne Barr's comment on Twitter. Someone please slap that ignorant woman.

"Barr’s tweeting continued Thursday afternoon when wrote to Cupp, “you attack women’s rights, you are attacked — that is how it works now, watch and be aware.”

This is NOT satire it is offensive, disgusting and vile. "The View" commentators surprised me, and I am glad to see that these women banded together as women and ignored the fact they may have differences in politics, but when it came down to this type of issue, we can all agree.  


When I read Barr's comments, just basically solidified my opinion that she is indeed, an idiot and a great embarrassment to all women. She needs to stay in the shadows and keep her mouth shut.  


I am actually proud of the women of The View for standing behind this strong conservative woman.

This man speaks out of ignorance and blind hate.  He was taught by those who seem to believe that Black people are oppressed in this day and age.

Not true. There are many well-educated Black people who would vehemently disagree with this man's nonsense and pointless babbling. 

 He is misguided  misinformed and has been poisoned by bigoted and racist propaganda.  Living with that kind of deep penetrated hate can only lead to one horrible conclusion, insanity.  

I am curious about one thing, with his hate for the "white man" does that mean he hates Obama?  Because Obama was birthed by a "white" woman. Or do they simply ignore that fact?

This is an example of people who are lost without the love Christ.  The truth is, he doesn't have a clue of what love is, he only knows hate and thrives on it and in the end, it will destroy him and those that followed him blindly.

Black church coalition denounces NAACP and Obama support for gay marriage

WASHINGTON - The president of a Washington-based group that calls itself the National Black Church Initiative says he believes both the NAACP and President Barack Obama will lose support among black churches for siding with same-sex "marriage."

The Rev. Anthony Evans says churches with which he is affiliated will put their faith ahead of support for black leaders "every single time."

The NAACP passed a resolution Saturday endorsing homosexual marriage as a civil right and opposing efforts to -- in its words -- "codify discrimination or hatred into the law." (See AP video report)

By formalizing his support of same-sex marriage, Obama has pushed blacks to decide what is most important to them: The biblical message they hear in church every Sunday, or the big government liberalism that they regularly hear from the MSM or from their very own liberal president.

Obama lost a lot of support for his pro-gay stance and his pro-Muslim stance. He believes that he can do what he wants without fearing any repercussion. Maybe this time, he bit off more than he can chew?

I guess we will just have to find out election time.  

OFF TOPIC:

If any of you haven't seen The Avengers movie, I highly recommend it. I am telling you, it is awesome!  I am going to watch it again and I intend to buy the movie when it comes out.

It's a great family movie and you will laugh so hard in some of the parts, that's a promise, and I am not lying. There was one part where my husband, who NEVER laughs out loud, did. That was a shocker!

5 Things That Will Kill You BEFORE Zombies do in the Apocalypse

Since I have been reading all of these zombie books and now a fan of "Zombieland."  I found this cool little website about Zombie survival...

With the Zombie Apocalypse looming ever-so near, it is becoming more and more important for the average Joe to be ready. By “ready” we don’t just mean for the Zombies and how to survive them, but other threats that may get to you first! Here are 5 things that you can expect to present as much of a challenge, if not more of one, then the Undead when Ragnorok finaly gets under way!

1. Weapons Mishaps-

Look, we’re not exactly sure how to put this, so we’ll just say it: You are not John Rambo. Even if you have someone in your survival party who is, you are not.
Guns and Blades are not simple to maintain. For guns you’ll need ammo, oil, tons of TLC and thats just to keep the thing working. What if you forget to turn off the Safety and you are trying to clean the barrel? Those darn triggers are touchy things…

So you’ll avoid it by using blades you say? Not a bad idea, as long as you plan to check the handle regularly (like after every encounter), keep it sharp and keep it clean! With video games, movies and how-to vids all over the interwebs, it looks like staying safe in the Zombie Apocalypse is as easy as picking up any weapon you can get your paws on… its not.

For weapons we recommend an AK47. Max Brooks put it best when he said you can bury the thing in three foot of mud and dig it up six months later and it will fire like it was brand new. You’ll want a gun that won’t jam easily.

More importantly than choosing the right weapon is knowing how to use it. Before touching any weapon, you should be sure to take a safety course or six. Anywhere you can purchase a weapon (with the exception of “the streets”) can give you a list of where to take classes. Safety first!

2. Other Survivors-
When the end of the world goes down you’ll have stuff. Lots of stuff, or maybe nothing at all, but whatever you have, others will want it. People will want your stuff. Think about it. Money will hold no value, but everyday survival items will be like gold!

People will not only want your stuff, but will do anything they can to get it and when there is no real law anymore, people will kill to get what they want. This is why it is more important then ever to pick your ZSC (Zombie Survival Crew) early. Choose people you trust who will not make you fend for yourself when the fit hits the shan so to speak. Make sure to pick people who are good at what you suck at. If you are good with cars but suck at building stuff, make sure your team has a great general contractor to help fortify your your home or place of refuge. It also helps to have a great weapons expert (see above).

If you must go it alone, its always a good idea to know how to fend for yourself physically. Taking a karate or judo class now, may save your back-side later.

3. Infections/Parasites/Bacteria etc.
Its no secret that paper cuts suck. Imagine a world where there is absolutely little to no antibacterial available and any little nick could lead to gangrene and to save your own life you may have to amputate. Unfortunately, amputation can lead to you bleeding to death.

Okay, that seems a bit extreme and perhaps it is, but the reality is that basic first aid may become more valuable than decent weapons. The Flu is not so bad when you can get a vaccine shot, but when those shots are not available a simple sneeze could give away your location to the horde or even pillagers and we all know what that could lead to (see above)!

Truth be told, we all have billions of germs and quite a few parasites living in us harmlessly… for now.



4. The Beast that is Mother Nature-
Granted Zombie Survivalist Max Brooks suggests you get to the harshest environments on the planet when the Zed rise, but if you do, be prepared for the worst! Blizzards beget frostbite and freezing to death sucks. Deserts lead to heat stroke or dehydration. Yeah, that sucks too.

Let us not forget that Mother Nature has several actual beasts, Wolves, Vipers, Bears, Spiders, and all the other creatures with primal instinct are hungry and if you are not prepared to identify them before they identify you, you better be prepared to be dinner.

Kill or be killed. Remember before, when we suggested that you take self-defense courses? Survival courses would not be out of the question also. If nothing else, read up on the area you plan to go to and how to survive the very worst it has to offer!

5. Hunger-
Most people are in a decent place where they can take food for granted. Food is everywhere! The average American spends more a month on Fast Food than some people make in a week in other parts of the world. If you are hungry now, you can step away from the computer and mosey on over to the fridge and graze for a while. Go ahead, a sammich sounds yummy… we’ll wait.

Ahhh!

Feel better? Good. Know this: Food will not be so easily accessible when the world goes to hell. Unless you own a farm or your own apple grove, you will not be able to get to food very easily unless you stock up on canned goods now. (Oh, and word of advise, the best tool you can own will be a can opener… seriously. All the canned food in the world is useless if you can’t open the friggin stuff!)

Our advise? Easy, learn to farm. More importantly, learn to farm in your chosen survival environment. You may be able to harvest an entire field with your bare hands, but that does nothing for you in the harsh frozen tundra of Alaska!

Final words of advise-
The bottom line is think, act, and work now before the world falls into the Apocalypse. If you are reading this, you most likely believe that it will happen in your lifetime. The good news is you are not alone. The Undead may rise, and if and when they do, you should know how to defend yourself. You also need to learn to survive without the luxuries you now love so much- Electricity, Shelter, Food. Read up on survival now and it may save you later!

California Supreme Court to decide if illegal immigrant can practice law

The California Supreme Court agreed Wednesday to consider whether the State Bar has the authority to license an undocumented immigrant and allow him to become a practicing lawyer.

In their weekly closed-door conference, the justices unanimously decided to consider the case of Sergio Garcia, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico who graduated from Chico State University, a Florida law school and passed the State Bar exam in July 2009 but has been stalled in his bid to secure his California law license.

A State Bar committee concluded that Garcia should be admitted to practice law in California, but the issue is up to the state Supreme Court. The justices indicated they must explore a host of legal issues to resolve the question. They asked for legal arguments from a range of groups, including California Attorney General Kamala Harris and the U.S. government.

There are questions about whether illegal immigrants, under federal immigration law, have a legal right to be approved for professional licenses such as those permitting the practice of law in a state. In its order, the California Supreme Court asked for legal arguments on whether it has the authority to permit Garcia to be licensed under that federal law.

The Daily Journal, a legal newspaper, reported last year that Garcia was brought to the U.S. by his parents at 17 months old and has been waiting for more than a decade for a green card. Garcia, according to the account, is being sponsored for legal status by a relative.

 

Let's get this straight, shall we?  This man is an undocumented illegal he shouldn't be getting a degree he should be getting deported.  But then again we are speaking about California, so what else is new?  American citizens come last in this state.  

The man was brought here illegally by his parents who also entered our borders illegally and not a darn thing was done to get them deported.  Nope, instead, he gets a free education. 

What's the problem here?  Deport him and his family and make them go by the proper channels, if he's so smart, he should have done that in the first place.  

Laws were broken and this man should not be rewarded with a law degree. His butt should have been thrown in jail along with his parents and the people that have harbored and enabled this family to live off American tax dollars for years.

There is nothing to discuss, to question whatsoever. The law was broken and justice needs to be done.

It's time to stop all free funding to illegals.  No more hand-outs!  If my friends from South Africa can go by all the legal channels so can everyone else.

I just had to share this video because as an Army brat, this was done every single day at 6 pm all over base and regardless of what you were doing, we stood straight up, proud and didn't mind.  I remember one foggy day in Germany the music started, and the fog was so dense that I couldn't see my own hands in front of my face. But I stopped walking. Little did I know there was a soldier just a few feet away from me, so when the music stopped, he scared the crap out of me, I didn't scream, but yeah I got scared.  Well, I was only 11 years-old at the time, come to think of it, I had just finished watching THE FOG at the DYA on my way home.  LOL!  I'll never forget that day.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, May 11, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) – This Sunday, children of all ages will celebrate the role mothers play in their lives. But Vogue model Christy Turlington Burns and a host of female celebrities are encouraging mothers across the nation to ignore their children as part of “No Mother’s Day,” a sign of their support for reducing maternal mortality by supporting family planning and global access to abortion.

The campaign asks women to “disappear” on Mother’s Day to raise awareness of maternal mortality rates and underscore “just how much a mother is missed when she’s gone.” But amidst positive initiatives such as improved health care for complications such as hemorrhage and sepsis, the campaign promotes “safe” abortion, and the legalization of abortion in nations where the practice is currently illegal, as a means of lowering maternal deaths.

A press release for Every Mother Counts, the nonprofit Turlington launched in 2010, notes a new PSA “features moms encouraging other moms to join in solidarity by disappearing on May 13th, Mother’s Day. No phone calls. No emails. No social media. No gifts.”

Turlington told Time magazine, “It’s a day to stop going through the motions…It’s about taking that [day] back.”

The spot, which was posted online last Wednesday and is directed by Ed Burns, features Turlington, former “Will and Grace” star Debra Messing, NBC’s Ann Curry, Jennifer Connelly, Kelly Rutherford, Blythe Danner, Dayle Haddon, and other high-profile women.

Amongst the project’s partners are the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the extreme pro-abortion group Women Deliver, and the United Nations Population Fund. The UNPFA is well known in pro-life circles for the fact that the U.S. State Department confirmed over a number of years that the organization provides “financial and technical assistance” for China’s vicious one-child policy.

“Over 200 million women who would like to choose when they get pregnant don’t have access to family planning,” Turlington’s website states.

As part of the Every Mother Counts campaign, Turlington is promoting the film No Woman, No Cry, her two-year-old directorial debut, which features vignettes from four countries. The segment on Guatemala highlights “the legal barriers” to “basic human reproductive rights” and hails the work of Linda Valencia, MD, a program officer with the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

Planned Parenthood announced on its website it “is proud to partner with Christy Turlington Burns in the release of her documentary film, No Woman, No Cry. Together, and with your help, we seek to increase dialogue and action on issues of maternal and child health, including access to safe abortion.”

In Guatemala, the abortion provider is collaborating with “the pioneering feminist organization, Tierra Viva,” which is pressuring “key political and legal players, such as attorneys and judges, in the battle to gain access to safe reproductive health services.”

Turlington called “my friend Linda” of Planned Parenthood a “champion for the women of this country.” She also saluted “Marta Julia Ruiz from the Population Council (who I met when we were both honored at UNFPA), Mirna Montenegro who runs the maternal health observatory in Guatemala OSAR, and Zury Rios, the dynamic congresswoman who has championed this issue” of legalized abortion.

The doctumentary has been screened before the UNPFA, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the World Bank, in a private screening with the president of Tanzania, at Princeton University, theLantos Foundation for Human Rights and Justice, and Planned Parenthood of Utah. It has been shown on NBC, the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), and Israeli television.

The film’s assertion that legal abortion is safe is belied by worldwide data on the matter. A recent study out of Chile shows maternal mortality declined after the nation outlawed therapeutic abortion in 1989. The percentage of women dying during childbirth is lower in that South American nation than the United States. Ireland, another country where abortion is illegal, also boasts one of the lowest maternal mortality rates in the world.

Although the No Mother’s Day project’s support for abortion around the world – paid for by U.S. taxpayers and supported by the United Nations – has raised few eyebrows, controversy has surrounded its suggestion to separate mothers from children who have already been born.

According to the supermodel, some mothers have voiced their support. “I had a few people that said, `Good. I hate this holiday and I can say I’m not participating,’” she said.

However, Turlington says she plans to have a Mother’s Day meal with her own children and female relatives.

While “CBS Sunday Morning” ran a segment “honoring” her efforts, Turlington has suffered a backlash from commentators and mothers who say the proposal is callous and ineffective.

Meanwhile, other pro-abortion organizations have also attempted to stake a claim on Mother’s Day.

Planned Parenthood used the natal holiday to launch a fundraising campaign asking donors to “join us in celebrating women everywhere this Mother’s Day by making a special gift to Planned Parenthood Global.”

Lezlie Lowe, in a column for The (Halifax) Chronicle Herald entitled, “A Day to be Thankful for Abortion Access,” wrote: “Let’s talk about Mother’s Day, why don’t we? Because if there’s any day to be thankful for abortion access, that’s the one. That’s what I’ll think about when I’m woken way too early by wiggling weasels crawling on the bed to wish me a Happy Mother’s Day.”

Can you believe this crap?! I mean seriously. Imagine how brokenhearted those children must have felt waking up to surprise their "mommy" with homemade cards and gifts and "mom" was no where in sight because she thought promoting abortion was more important than celebrating a day that some women would love to celebrate but can't.


What kind of sick mind came up with this garbage?  I am against abortion, but if I was a supporter there is no way in hell I would use that particular day to tell my kids, "screw you!" I am supporting abortion today, "So, take your bloody gifts and shove it!"


Unbelievable how these people operate.


I was told that I could NEVER have children, but God had other plans and I was blessed with two, and I woke up to such wonderful homemade gifts from my precious babies telling me how much they loved me and how I was the best mom in the world, etc.


This really ticked me off.  If these pro-baby killers and murderers want to celebrate infanticide, choose a different day. Mother's Day is a special day for every woman who loves their children and feel so blessed to have them.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! To all mom's all over the world. God blessed with us with special and precious gifts.

I am so thankful for my mother. She truly is my best-friend in the whole world. She has loved me through the good, the very, very, very bad and horrible ugly. And yet, her love never wavered. She sacrificed everything for me and my sisters and never once did she complain.  There is so much I can share about my beautiful and wonderful mother but it would take forever.

My mother's fervent prayers helped me to find the Lord at the age of 31. She prayed for me for so many, many years for her little girl to know Jesus on a personal level.  It worked, MOM!! I love Jesus! And I will NEVER let Him go!

Wow! I think I am about to cry. I love her so much. Without her, I wouldn't be here today.

Massachusetts, cradle of the Revolution, to ban school bake sales

How many of you remember school bake sales? Or elementary classroom parties?  When all our mom's would get together and bake the best goodies in the world.   Yummy....I still have memories of fresh brownies, rice crispi treats, all kinds of different cakes, cookies, candy and living in New Mexico and Texas had some awesome Mexican pastries along with the rest of the goodies. Wow! That brought back some great memories.


Well, from the look of things our poor kids can kiss that great stuff goodbye, thanks to our lovely government that has pretty much told parents their kids are too fat and they know better.

Read this article below from the Boston Herald, I pasted and copied the whole thing. I would love to know your opinion on this.   

Bake sales, the calorie-laden standby cash-strapped classrooms, PTAs and booster clubs rely on, will be outlawed from public schools as of Aug. 1 as part of new no-nonsense nutrition standards, forcing fundraisers back to the blackboard to cook up alternative ways to raise money for kids.

At a minimum, the nosh clampdown targets so-called “competitive” foods — those sold or served during the school day in hallways, cafeterias, stores and vending machines outside the regular lunch program, including bake sales, holiday parties and treats dished out to reward academic achievement. But state officials are pushing schools to expand the ban 24/7 to include evening, weekend and community events such as banquets, door-to-door candy sales and football games.

The Departments of Public Health and Education contend clearing tables of even whole milk and white bread is necessary to combat an obesity epidemic affecting a third of the state’s 1.5 million students. But parents argue crudites won’t cut it when the bills come due on athletic equipment and band trips.

“If you want to make a quick $250, you hold a bake sale,” said Sandy Malec, vice president of the Horace Mann Elementary School PTO in Newtonville.

Maura Dawley of Scituate said the candy bars her 15-year-old son brought to school to help pay for a youth group trip to Guatemala “sold like wildfire.” She worries the ban “would seriously affect the bottom line of the PTOs.

“The goal is to raise money,” Dawley said. “You’re going to be able to sell pizza. You’re not going to get that selling apples and bananas. It’s silly.”

Food fundraisers have helped send the renowned Danvers High School Falcon Band to the Rose Bowl Parade in California and the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor in Honolulu. Danvers Parents for Music Education sell fudge because “it still works,” said the group’s president, Matthew Desmond. “Even my wife will buy it.”

Middleboro School Committeeman Brian Giovanoni, whose board will discuss the mandatory meal makeover Thursday night, said, “My concern is we’re regulating what people can eat, and I have a problem with that. I respect the state for what they’re trying to do, but I think they’ve gone off the deep end. I don’t want someone telling me how to do my job as a parent. ... Is the commonwealth of Massachusetts saying our parents are bad parents?”

No, insists Dr. Lauren Smith, DPH’s medical director.

“We’re not trying to get into anyone’s lunch box,” Smith told the Herald. “We know that schools need those clubs and resources. We want them to be sure and have them, but to do them a different way. We have some incredibly innovative, talented folks in schools who are already doing some impressive things, who serve as incontrovertible evidence that, yes, you can do this, and be successful at it.”

State Sen. Susan Fargo (D-Lincoln), chairwoman of the Joint Committee on Public Health, said the problem of overweight children has reached “crisis” proportions.

“If we didn’t have so many kids that were obese, we could have let things go,” Fargo said.

“But,” she added, “this is a major public health problem and these kids deserve a chance at a good, long healthy life.”

I find this to be quite arbitrary and basically stomping on the rights of the parents. Even at my own sons' school, we are not allowed to bring any thing from home that is not store packaged. I couldn't even bake my very popular "Dark Chocolate Oatmeal cookies" to  either of my boys last day of school parties.  If I did, they would have been thrown in the trash. I was pretty miffed about that.  My cookies are not that fattening and the kids would have loved them.

I don't know about most parents but my solution with my own children is that I make them play outside for at least an hour day.  Ride their bikes, which I enjoy doing that with them, jump on the trampoline, which I also enjoy, kick the soccer ball around, basketball, whatever. Just get them moving. And if they refuse or give me a hard time, they lose their playstation, computer and tv privileges.  Now my boys don't have cell phones, or i-pods, etc. I think they are too young for those. But it does motivate them to play outside and I join them which gives me a work out as well. 

How many of us, stayed outside until it was dark and our parents had to call us inside.  when we were young?  Kids need to start playing outside more and cut back on their Wii's or whatever keeps them indoors. Gosh, there are many things as parents that we can do to motivate our kids to enjoy the outdoors, sunshine and roll around on the grass and yes, even the mud.

Just my opinion.

MUSLIM STUDENTS HOLD ALL GIRL PROM IN MICHIGAN HIGH SCHOOL

WAIT JUST ONE MINUTE! A Muslim only event is being held at a public school? Really?

Okay, so what if, say, a Christian boy or girl wanted to attend or what if a lesbian or anyone from the LGBT movement wanted to attend? What would happen? Would they be welcomed? Or turned away?

Where's the liberal ACLU? Why aren't they jumping all over this? Are they not all about "separation of church and state?" This is a public facility, after all. Bloody hell!

So, if the Muslims can have their own prom, what would happen if there was a "Christians Only Prom?" Held at the same public school? I can guarantee the ACLU, atheists, or whomover would be throwing the biggest fit, suing the school, the principal, etc.

I can't believe this is happening in America! As I have been saying, Muslims seem to receive special treatment, accommodations, and allowed to push their religion down our throats. I would not tolerate this at my kids school. Either they adapt to American culture or get the hell out. No one is stopping them from attending a normal senior prom.

It's been her dream?? And she is crying because she feels so independent! Good grief! Yeah, whatever, cry me a river.

Hat tip to Malcom Bondon   Last night I emailed the English teacher at Hamtramck High School who assisted the students in organizing the prom. I asked if she could confirm where the prom was held. She replied today informing me that it was held at the Gates of Columbus Hall in Hamtramck. 

I'll give you a slight pass on incorrectly stating the prom was held at the high school. In addition to Tharima Ahmed misspeaking in the video, the ABCNews.com headline also stated that the prom was held at the high school.

Wow! Hannity ripped this guy to shreds!!  I couldn't believe what was coming out of that "kid's" mouth! It was the police doing all the bad things, conspiracy....And then his remark about some jobs being "beneath him."  Talk about insulting all the blue collar workers.  Who's going to hire this moron? After this pathetic interview.

Hannity mopped the floor with him.  Loved it!

NYC: Barbers Can’t Charge Women More Than Men

A New York City barber was accused of violating the city’s discrimination policy because he charged women three dollars more for a hair cut than men.

“I’m here for 21 years and I’ve never heard of such a thing,” said Leon Kogut, the owner of Leon’s Fantasy Cut in Brooklyn. “The guy tells me this is discrimination of a woman.”

Kogut, who is originally from the former Soviet Union, told Fox News he ran afoul of the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs. An inspector slapped the barber with three violations totaling $650 in fines.

“I feel upset,” he said. “We are struggling to survive. It’s a lot – a lot of money.”

Kogut said the inspector took issue with the fact that he charged $13 for a man’s haircut and $16 for a woman’s.

“A woman’s haircut requires a lot of skill,” Kogut said. “You have to style the hair, blow dry, use the mousse, the hairspray. It could take hours to get her hair cut.”

On the other hand, he said, it only takes a few minutes to cut a guy’s hair.

“It’s a different kind of hair cut,” he said.

Kogut tried to reason with the city inspector.

“If you go to a restaurant and order a hamburger, you don’t expect to get the steak for that money,” he said. “Are you discriminating against the cow? Same cow, same meat – but different part of the meat. Of course there’s going to be a different price.”

The inspector was not swayed and told Kogut that to be in compliance of the law – he could only charge different prices for “long hair” and “short hair.”

“I said, ‘Okay, I’ll do it. It’s my mistake,’” he said. “But I never know this – nobody ever told me this.”

But that wasn’t the end of Kogut’s problems. It turns out the city also took issue with his nearly 100-year-old cash register.

Why didn’t the cash register print receipts, the inspector demanded to know.

“I told him, ‘the cash register is three times older than you, sir,’” Kogut said. “The cash register is 93 years old.”

That resulted in another fine for the 64-year-old barber.

“Nobody ever asks for receipts in a barber shop,” he said. “I’m here 21 years in this shop and nobody asks for receipt.”

The Dept. of Consumer Affairs told the New York Daily News that city law stipulates all businesses must include price information on its receipts.

But Public Advocate Bill de Blasio told the newspaper this is more about petty fines.

“We cannot hold small businesses hostage to the city’s budget,” he told the Daily News. “It’s time to stop treating small businesses like an ATM and take an honest look at what the fines are really costing the city.”

Kogut told Fox News he works 12 hours a day, six days a week and it’s all he can do to pay the bills.

“The hit us like that – for what? We don’t deserve this. We are good citizens here.”

He said that New York City is beginning to remind him of the Old Country.

“I ran away from Communism,” he said. “The system in New York City reminds me of Communism. The government can do anything to you.”

I know this isn't much of a political post but I had to share it. I would be thrilled if my hairdresser cut my hair for $16 dollars, I normally pay $30, which I believe is still cheap, compared to other salons.  I have very thick, coarse long hair and it does take her at least an hour and 1/2 to do my hair. We are talking shampoo/conditioner, blow dry, hair products, and then flat ironing. God bless, she is tired after finishing up with me.

And what is a woman doing in a barber shop in the first place? Most barber shops are for men, aren't they?  Let me know if I am wrong, because I honestly believe that. 

Women go to hairdressers and salons and men go to barber shops.  In fact, there is a place in our town called, "Sports Clips" and it is set up only for men, has a tv station on the sports channel, and sports memorabilia all over the place and only men products for the hair.

There are tons of salons all over this town and I can imagine NYC has 100's, right?  So why is this woman complaining????  Get to a salon and shut up.

Men's haircuts take less than 15 minutes, women, maybe 30.  And like the barber mentioned, women normally use more hair products which cost more money. The man is only charging $3 more!  Good grief!
