Guantanamo detainees get new $750G soccer field

Fox News: At a time of record deficits, a new soccer field for detainees at Camp 6 in Guantanamo Bay is just getting the finishing touches -- at a cost of $750,000 to taxpayers.

The project was the highlight of a tour Tuesday of the detention camp for reporters at the facility covering the arraignment in a military court of Majid Khan, a former Baltimore resident and the the only legal U.S. resident on trial at Guantanamo.

The project began in April 2011 and is due to finish this spring. The detainees will now have three recreation facilities at Camp 6, which is home to "highly compliant" detainees who live in a communal setting.

In addition to an indoor recreation field and the existing outdoor recreation field, the new soccer field -- selected because it is such a popular sport with detainees -- is half the size of an American football field.

The new field has been specially constructed so that the detainees "have maximum access" -- about 20 hours a day. Special passageways allow the detainees to pass into the new recreation yard without being escorted by the military.

On the tour, a military police representative who asked not to be identified by name said allowing high levels of activity outdoors helped reduce behavioral problems at the camps, and it also limited the amount of interaction between detainees and the guards.

Since the detention camps opened in 2002, some half dozen cases have been prosecuted -- four ended in plea agreements with minimal jail time.

Khan, accused of being hand-selected by Sept. 11, 2001, mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed for a second wave of attacks inside the U.S., including a plot to blow up gas stations, is expected to cut a deal. He is also implicated in an assassination plot against former Pakistani President Pervez Musharaff and a car bombing at the Marriott hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia, in 2003.

His appearance will be the first time anyone outside the U.S. military or intelligence community has seen him since his capture after Sept. 11 and transfer to secret prisons formerly maintained by the CIA.

Even some of President Obama's most ardent supporters suggest the administration seems eager to close the camps and reduce the detainee population, and plea agreements with minimal jail time are a sweetheart deal for all involved.

Detainees like Usama bin Laden's personal cook and his driver are spending less time in prison than American citizens prosecuted in federal courts on lesser charges.

By example, Zachary Chesser of Charlottesville, Va., who was convicted for making threats against the creators of "South Park" and for supporting a Somali terror group, but who never fired a shot on the battlefield, is now serving a 25-year sentence.

By contrast, Omar Khadr, who killed an American soldier on the battlefield in Afghanistan is nearly half way through his eight-year sentence at Guantanamo, and may finish out his term in Canada.

On Tuesday, Attorney General Eric Holder, testifying about the Justice Department budget on Capitol Hill, said the recidivism rate for Guantanamo detainees overall is in the mid-20s. But the recidivism rate for those transferred during the Obama administration is 7 percent. Holder acknowledged that part of that comparison may be because the former detainees have been out for a shorter period of time, but also because the determinations about each of their release had to be unanimously approved by a task force.

Well, how fine and dandy for these terrorists. What is this? A country club or a prison? I also heard that the Muslims are complaining that their Quran's aren't be held properly, who the hell cares! They are in PRISON! Dumb asses!

We have public schools here in the states struggling to raise money for new playground equipment, new sports equipment and proper soccer and football fields, but instead our dear president decided his Muslim pals need an indoor soccer field to make them feel more at home, what the bloody hell? And lest we forget nice walking trails.

This is literally stomping on the graves of every single American who lost their lives due to the vile scumbags in this prison. The families must be utterly shocked, disgusted and heart-broken.  I am sickend and appalled that MY tax dollars are paying for this luxury to cold-blooded killers.

This is a huge betrayal to us all and to our children who could have used that money for new and much needed supplies and equipment for their schools.

Nice, huh?  HELL NO, IT'S NOT!  I normally don't swear but this is absolutely outrageous! I am just shocked at the audacity of the Obama administration. 

I am sure the bleeding heart liberals will claim that they deserve even more at our expense, am I correct in this assumption? I am sure I will soon find out.

7 US troops wounded in Afghanistan, as protests against Koran burnings

Demonstrators protesting against the burnings of Korans at a U.S. base in Afghanistan tossed grenades at an American base Sunday in a sixth consecutive day of violence that left seven US troops wounded and two Afghans dead.

Afghan authorities also identified and launched a manhunt for a suspect in the killing of two U.S military advisers -- a lieutenant colonel and a major -- inside an Afghan ministry on Saturday.

The attacks were the latest in six days of violence across the country by Afghans furious at the way some Korans at an American base outside of Kabul were disposed of in a burn pit.

The Koran burning incident has swiftly spiraled out of control leaving dozens of people dead, including four U.S. troops killed by their Afghan counterparts, in a sign of the tenuous nature of the relationship between Afghanistan and the U.S.

In Kunduz province, thousands of demonstrators started out protesting peacefully but then the group turned violent as they tried to enter the district's largest city, said Amanuddin Quriashi, district administrator. People in the crowd fired on police and threw grenades at a U.S. base on the city outskirts, he said.

Seven NATO troops were wounded and one of the protesters was killed when troops fired out from the U.S. base, Quriashi said. Another demonstrator was killed by Afghan police, he added. Provincial police spokesman Sarwar Hussaini confirmed the casualties.

It's time to pull out the troops and bring them home. Although, right now there is no where for them to go that is safe read below.

KABUL, Afghanistan – Afghan police say a large explosion has gone off at the gates of Jalalabad airport in eastern Afghanistan.

Provincial police spokesman Hazrad Mohammad confirms "a very strong" blast hit Monday morning at the entrance to the airport in Nangarhar province but says he does not yet have further details

An AP photographer reports seeing at least four destroyed cars at the airport gates. The airport serves both civilian and international military aircraft.

There were no immediate reports of casualties from the blast, but Mohammad says many are feared.

All this because a couple of books were burned. And Christians are the ones who are continually being accused of being racists, hateful and violent. Really? 

As much as I love the Word of God,I would NEVER wish death or harm another person if they burned my bible. Because the Word lives inside of me. And that cannot be taken away.  I have the Living Water abiding deep within my soul. A joy and fire that cannot be quenched. Which is probably why you won't see Christians behaving in this despicable manner. We know the Truth and it has set us free.

7 dead as Afghans protest Quran burning.......... UPDATE

KABUL, Afghanistan — Seven people were killed in clashes between Afghan security forces and protesters demonstrating against the burning of Muslim holy books at a NATO military base, Afghanistan's Interior Ministry said Wednesday.

The anger over the Quran burning has sparked two days of protests across Afghanistan and tapped into anti-foreign sentiment fueled by a popular perception that foreign troops disrespect Afghan culture and Islam.

The demonstrations prompted the U.S. to lock down its embassy and bar its staff from traveling.

The Afghan Interior Ministry said in a statement that clashes during a protest in the eastern province of Parwan left four people dead. It said an investigation was under way to determine what happened.

The other deaths occurred at a U.S. base outside Kabul, where security guards killed one person, and in Jalalabad and Logar province, the ministry said.

The demonstration in Kabul drew thousands of protesters, who chanted "Death to America," hurled rocks and set tires alight outside a complex that is home to foreign contractors, police and some coalition military forces.

Nearby, angry demonstrators set a fuel truck ablaze on a main highway running east out of the city, sending black smoke billowing into the air.

The apologized Tuesday for the burning of books, including Qurans, which had been pulled from the shelves of the Parwan Detention Facility, adjoining Bagram Air Field, because they contained extremist messages or inscriptions.

A Western military official with knowledge of the incident said it appeared that the copies of the Quran and other Islamic readings in the library were being used to fuel extremism, and that detainees were writing on the documents to exchange extremist messages. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to release the information.

U.S. Gen. John Allen, the top commander of American and NATO forces in Afghanistan, said after the books had been mistakenly given to troops to be burned at a garbage pit without realizing it.

"It was not a decision that was made because they were religious materials," Allen said Tuesday, one day after Afghan workers at the garbage pit found the books. "It was not a decision that was made with respect to the faith of Islam. It was a mistake. It was an error. The moment we found out about it we immediately stopped and we intervened."

So it's okay for Christian Bibles to be burned and no one bats an eye, but burn the Qur'an and people go ballistic and start killing each other, and yet, the MSM will continue to defend Islam?     

I used to support our soldiers being in Afghanistan but now it is time to bring them all home. I hate that one of my closest friends is serving there right now and I am concerned, who wouldn't be?  Our American soldiers are being killed and for what purpose?  They aren't even wanted there!!  So, let's do Afghanistan a favor and pull out our troops now!!   Let them kill each other off.  But enough of our American soldiers dying for ungrateful people.

And what a pathetic, shameful and embarrassment that general made of himself and of our nation. quit the kissing up to these people!  I am tired Obama, his cronies and apparently some of sheep apologizing to these radicals. 


PRESIDENT Barack Obama has been forced to apologise over the burning of Korans at a US airbase in Afghanistan, where three days of protests have killed 14 people, including two American soldiers.
Violent anti-US protests have seen furious Afghans attack French, Norwegian and US bases, shouting "death to America" after the Taliban exhorted their countrymen to kill foreign troops to avenge the incident at a US-run base.

Afghanistan is a deeply religious country where slights against Islam have frequently provoked violent protests, and many Afghans are incensed at the discovery of charred Korans at Bagram airbase north of Kabul.

In a letter of apology to Afghan President Hamid Karzai, Mr Obama expressed "deep regret" over the incident that he said was unintentional, and pledged that those responsible would be held accountable.

"The error was inadvertent; I assure you that we will take the appropriate steps to avoid any recurrence, to include holding accountable those responsible."

Mr Karzai said a US officer was responsible - "out of ignorance" - for the Koran burning at Bagram and the US government had admitted the mistake, his office said.

The two Americans were shot dead when an Afghan soldier turned his weapon on them at their base in Khogyani in eastern Nangarhar province, district governor Mohammad Hassan said.

"As the protesters approached the American base here an ANA (Afghan) soldier in the base opened fire on American soldiers, killing two soldiers," he said.

GET OUR SOLDIERS OUT OF AFGHANISTAN NOW!!  I am literally in tears and feel so helpless. God have mercy!!

Obama’s New Illegal Alien Czar

Immigration law enforcement suffered another blow when the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently announced the appointment of Andrew Lorenz-Strait as the nation’s first “public advocatefor the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE).

According to ICE Director John Morton, the public advocate position was created by the Obama administration to handle questions and complaints by illegal aliens over the various changes the DHS has made in the past year concerning the way immigration authorities determine which undocumented immigrants are deported.

As such, Morton said Lorenz-Strait “will work to expand and enhance our dialogue with the stakeholder community. We want the public to know that they have a representative at this agency whose sole duty is to ensure their voice is heard and their interests are recognized.”

Despite the fact that this “stakeholder community” willingly failed to obey US immigration laws in order to enter the country, the federal agency charged with enforcing immigration laws has now seen fit to give them their own taxpayer-funded lobbyist.

This irony wasn’t lost on Shawn Moran, Vice President of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC), when he asked, “What is next? Will drug dealers band together decrying their prosecutions in one voice?”

Republican Representative Lamar Smith, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, called the move “outrageous” while Republican Representative Steve King said, “The President is making a conscious decision to evade Congress in order to appease his base.”

Nevertheless, Morton said the need for an illegal alien public advocate was necessitated by the “significant number of reforms” that needed to be “evenly understood in the public and advocacy communities.”

Anyone surprised by this new appointment?  Yeah, I didn't think so.
I can't argue the fact that as an American I can truly sympathize with illegals that are desperate for a better life. But this is beyond our capability. Our nation is flat broke and taxpayers CANNOT afford them or their offspring.  

Americans MUST come first before illegals, and right now that's quite the opposite that we are seeing by this treasonous man and his administration.  Americans are desperate for jobs.  And illegals who shouldn't even be hired or working here in the first place have them. What happened to a president that is supposed to protect the nation and her people he is representing????

We, the People, have a right to protect our nation, our flag and our language, which happens to be English. And I believe that anyone that does not adhere to the Constitution should be booted out office.  

I believe Obama wants to legalize all these illegal aliens for one major purpose, he needs their votes. And since these people don't even speak our language and have no clue about constitutional rights or 

Section 1 from the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws. 

I don't see anywhere in this amendment that illegals have rights. Read the entire 14 Amendment here  there is information about anchor babies, etc. It's worth the read if you have the time.

MY REVIEW:  Love the book.  I am not even sure how to begin. The story was well-written and I found myself sympathizing with these poor women who were under the complete and total control of Queen Elizabeth as her "Ladies in Waiting."

I honestly had no idea that the ladies in waiting had no choice of whom they would marry and were literally forced to be prostituted to older men of wealth and treated as such. No matter how lovely or well-dressed these poor unfortunate ladies were, they were treated as tools to be used and discarded. I despised the fact once the ladies became pregnant, the Queen married them off to someone else and the wealthy man who got her pregnant in the first place, was to provide for her but to have no further contact. So basically, these women were mistresses than married off once they got pregnant. Made me sick.

My heart immediately went out to them all.  What a horrid existence to live only to serve others and never once were allowed to enjoy a free life.

I had never heard of Lady Bassano Lanier other than reading about her in this novel. But I would like to believe she was a strong lady of great intelligence, humor and lived a good life. And that she truly loved and had faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Who knows maybe she was the "Dark Lady" that Shakespeare wrote about?  No one will ever know who the mysteries woman was, but I would like to believe it was Lady Lanier. However it was a tragic and sad story, but worth reading.

I look forward to reading more Alexa Schnee's novels. This one was absolutely intriguing and definitely kept my attention.

"Parting is such sweet sorrow."  No truer words could articulate the sadness of the broken love affair between Emilia and William.

Barack Obama might have the Foo Fighters playing for him, but Rick Santorum just got a much heavier endorsement. Dave Mustaine, one-time Metallica guitarist and founder of the speed-metal band Megadeth, has made clear his intention to endorse Rick Santorum, though he and his band are prepared to support anyone nominated against Barack Obama:

I’m just hoping that whatever is in the White House next year is a Republican,” Mustaine told MusicRadar.com. “I can’t bear to watch what’s happened to our great country. Everybody’s got their head in the sand. Everybody in the industry is like, ‘Oh, Obama’s doing such a great job…’ I don’t think so. Not from what I see.”

Blasting Republican front-runner Mitt Romney for his five sons’ multimillion-dollar trust fund and Newt Gingrich for being “that angry little man,” he says he settled on Santorum.

“Earlier in the election, I was completely oblivious as to who Rick Santorum was, but when the dude went home to be with his daughter when she was sick, that was very commendable,” Mustaine told the music site.

Mustaine’s political viewpoint has moved right over the years, as he has shifted from singing class warfare-themed songs like “Foreclosure of a Dream,” and reporting from the 1992 Democratic National Convention for MTV News, to now becoming a born-again Christian and condemning Heavy Metal bands that use “Satanic” themes in their lyrics.

Nor is Mustaine the only heavy metal musician to have a complicated history with social conservatism. Ironically, one band frequently accused of the “Satanic lyrics” he denounces — Slayer — has recorded a song titled “Silent Scream,” which graphically portrays the terror experienced by an aborted foetus in its lyrics — a fact which led John J. Miller of National Review to call the song “the world’s only pro-life death-metal song.”

Also on the metal front, Jonathan Davis, frontman of the group Korn, said the U.S. is “the worst it’s ever been” because of President Obama.

Preschooler’s Homemade Lunch Replaced with Cafeteria “Nuggets”

A preschooler at West Hoke Elementary School ate three chicken nuggets for lunch Jan. 30 because a state employee told her the lunch her mother packed was not nutritious.

The girl’s turkey and cheese sandwich, banana, potato chips, and apple juice did not meet U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines, according to the interpretation of the agent who was inspecting all lunch boxes in her More at Four classroom that day.

The Division of Child Development and Early Education at the Department of Health and Human Services requires all lunches served in pre-kindergarten programs — including in-home day care centers — to meet USDA guidelines. That means lunches must consist of one serving of meat, one serving of milk, one serving of grain, and two servings of fruit or vegetables, even if the lunches are brought from home.

When home-packed lunches do not include all of the required items, child care providers must supplement them with the missing ones.

The girl’s mother — who said she wishes to remain anonymous to protect her daughter from retaliation — said she received a note from the school stating that students who did not bring a “healthy lunch” would be offered the missing portions, which could result in a fee from the cafeteria, in her case $1.25.

“I don't feel that I should pay for a cafeteria lunch when I provide lunch for her from home,” the mother wrote in a complaint to her state representative, Republican G.L. Pridgen of Robeson County.

When the girl came home with her lunch untouched, her mother wanted to know what she ate instead. Three chicken nuggets, the girl answered. Everything else on her cafeteria tray went to waste.

So our government knows best, right?  I can't help but think how humiliating that would have been for the little girl as well as the mother. What was wrong with a turkey and cheese sandwich? But the gestapo decided they would serve the kid chicken nuggets instead, yeah, like that's healthy.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with what she packed for her little girl.  School lunches are expensive for those, like myself, that have to pay it.  And let me tell you, it is hurts our budget.  We literally pay correction $80 a month for our boys school lunches. Why?  Because 88% of the kids in my boys school, don't have to pay for theirs. But since we hit just a teeny, tiny bit higher bracket in income, we get screwed.  Really makes me mad.

Is this what this country is coming to? Our government becoming the food police?  How much more of our freedom is the Obama administration going to take? This is  FASCISM. Whether you want to believe it or not.  Obama believes himself to be a dictator and people are continually allowing him and his pathetic wife to dictate what we can and cannot eat.

Obama proposes $800 million in aid for "Arab Spring"

(Reuters) - The White House announced plans on Monday to help "Arab Spring" countries swept by revolutions with more than $800 million in economic aid, while maintaining U.S. military aid to Egypt.

In his annual budget message to Congress, President Barack Obama asked that military aid to Egypt be kept at the level of recent years -- $1.3 billion -- despite a crisis triggered by an Egyptian probe targeting American democracy activists.

The proposals are part of Obama's budget request for fiscal year 2013, which begins October 1. His requests need the approval of Congress, where some lawmakers want to cut overseas spending to address U.S. budget shortfalls and are particularly angry at Egypt.

Obama proposed $51.6 billion in funding for the U.S. State Department and foreign aid overall, when $8.2 billion in assistance to war zones is included. The "core budget" for the category would increase by 1.6 percent, officials said.

Most of the economic aid for the Arab Spring countries -- $770 million -- would go to establish a new "Middle East and North Africa Incentive Fund," the president said in his budget plan.

Analysts said it was difficult to tell how much of the proposal was actually new money.

"As presented it's very difficult to determine if the Arab spring fund is new wine in new bottles or old wine in new bottles," said John Norris, a former U.S. foreign aid worker now at the Center for American Progress.

The Middle East and North Africa Incentive fund "will provide incentives for long-term economic, political, and trade reforms to countries in transition -- and to countries prepared to make reforms proactively," the White House budget document said.

The proposal said this approach "expands our bilateral economic support in countries such asTunisia and Yemen, where transitions are already underway."

It would also build on other programs for the area, including up to $2 billion in regional Overseas Private Investment Corporation financing, up to $1 billion in debt swaps for Egypt, and approximately $500 million in existing funds re-allocated to respond to the region last year, the budget document said.

It did not say how the Middle East and North Africa Incentive Fund would be divided between countries, or give any other details of the plan.

Egypt has long been among the top recipients of U.S. aid, getting about $1.6 billion annually, mostly in military assistance. In fiscal 2012, $250 million of aid approved for Egypt was economic; $1.3 billion was military and there was a $60 million "enterprise fund" approved by Congress.

No U.S. assistance is moving to Egypt at the moment, U.S. lawmakers and their aides said last week. Some legislators favor cutting off aid to Egypt entirely if it does not drop accusations against American democracy activists and lift a travel ban on them.

Obama continued the practice of putting proposed foreign assistance for war zones in a separate account. This account, known as the "Overseas Contingency Operations," includes $8.2 billion for the State Department and foreign aid.

It includes $3.3 billion for Afghanistan, $1 billion for Pakistan, and $4 billion for Iraq, where U.S. troops have left the country but the State Department has picked up some of their functions such as police training

For once, I honestly don't know what to say?  This nation is BANKRUPT does he not get that?  What the bloody hell is wrong with him?  The money needs to stay here in the states not given to other nations.

We need it! We can use it and to all my liberal readers, that's your tax dollars at work as well, how do you feel about that?

Facebook Parenting: For the troubled teen. LANGUAGE ALERT

There has been a lot of mixed feelings regarding this video. But it is all over Facebook. So just had to see what you all thought of this.

In my honest opinion, I think he did the right thing. It's not like she earned the lap top, it was given to her, and probably has a cell phone as well. Kids have no idea what it is to have responsibility. The chores this dad mentioned probably takes about maybe 15 minutes, max! Lazy, entitled kids.

We didn't get allowance when I was kid and most of my readers my age, probably didn't either, we just knew it had to be done. We did our chores, mopping, sweeping, laundry, hand washing dishes, cleaning the bathroom, dusting furniture, vacuuming, etc. And then there are those who worked on farms who worked even harder than those who did not live on a farm.

And just to mention this, mothers, did a hell of a lot more than that when our kids were babies. We were up all night, probably had less than 3 or 4 hours of sleep a day, still had to do ALL those chores and more that I mentioned above, and not to mention the endless amounts of changing diapers, and laundry. We were exhausted. And for those, like myself, who had to work outside the home, that was absolutely exhausting!

So kids, be happy that you have caring parents, that you have given you toys, that you never had to pay for one meal, or pay rent for having a roof over your head. You should be grateful for all that and more. You are NOT entitled to have computers or lap tops or even cell phones. Those are just generous gifts from your parents who happen to love you and want you to have nice things.

I commend this man for showing his kid he wasn't going to put up with her garbage any longer. Parents are NOT supposed to be their kid's friends, their job is to love, discipline and raise responsible adults.

So, now because of her whining and foul-mouth ranting, she is going to have buy her own lap top and I LOVE that he is going to charge her for the wasted bullets as well.

This girl is a perfect example of what's wrong with this young and immature generation, they are under a misguided perception of an entitlement attitude.

GOP targets child tax break for illegal immigrants

WASHINGTON (AP) - Republicans are looking to deny child tax credits to illegal immigrants—refund checks averaging $1,800 a family—in an effort that has roused anger among Hispanics and some Democratic lawmakers.

The proposal, which would require people who claim the federal credit to haveSocial Security numbers to prove they're legal workers, is being offered as a way to help pay for extending the Social Security tax cut for most American wage-earners. It would trim federal spending by about $10 billion over a decade.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada says the proposal unfairly goes after the children of poor Hispanic workers. Such kids often are U.S. citizens,even when their parents aren't, because they were born in this country.

Says Leticia Miranda, senior policy adviser of the National Council of La Raza:"People who are making close to the minimum wage and are raising children in this country—and we're asking them to pay for the payroll tax cut?" She says, "It's outrageous and it's crazy."

On the other side, Republicans and some Democrats say what's crazy is even having a debate over whether the government should be cutting checks to people who have sneaked into the country illegally. It's hard to imagine there isn't a healthy majority, even in the Democratic-controlled Senate, to stop the practice—if it's actually brought to a vote.

"We have rules about tax credits and benefits, and it seems to me they need to be applied fairly and across the board," said Democrat Sen. Claire McCaskill,who is facing a difficult re-election bid in Missouri. "If there are rules, they need to be enforced. I think it's just that simple. I don't think it's complicated."

Illegal immigrants have been barred from other refundable tax credits—in which low-income workers not only don't owe income taxes but receive payments from the government—such as the earned income tax credit. Such credits are a popular anti-poverty tool in part because a recipient has to hold a job to receive the benefit.

"Although the law prohibits aliens residing without authorization in the United States from receiving most federal public benefits, an increasing number of these individuals are filing tax returns claiming this refundable credit," Rep.Sam Johnson, R-Texas, said when the House debated the payroll tax cut measure in December. "Illegal immigrants bilked $4.2 billion from the U.S. taxpayers (in 2010). I think that it's time that we fixed it."

The situation has Democrats in a box. If they fight the GOP effort to cut back payments of the tax credit, they'll be favoring the delivery of refunds to people who not only don't owe income taxes but aren't supposed to be in the country in the first place.

What's more, closing the loophole would raise real money—an estimated $10 billion over 10 years under the approach favored by House Republicans.

The Treasury Department says that in the 2010 filing year more than $4 billion in child credit refunds went to 2.3 million people who filed tax returns but didn't have Social Security numbers proving they were citizens or legal workers. That's a four-fold increase over five years earlier.

Hispanics point out that in many instances the tax credit goes to workers who aren't citizens but whose children are—because they've been born in the country and therefore have Social Security numbers of their own. They say such children should reap the benefit of the tax credit just like other children in comparable economic circumstances.

So here we go again.  Illegals demanding to get money from tax payers and the liberal and Hispanic Democrats are cheering and whining right along with them.

I am not sure if I will ever understand how illegals get more help from our government than her own citizens? It doesn't make any sense. If an illegal is caught, first, make sure they are fingerprinted and documented.  Second, they must comply with American immigration laws and follow proper procedure to work and live here, legally.  

It's about time that our laws are obeyed by every American citizen. It is deplorable that hard working Americans are asked to pay for illegals to get all the freebies that they receive. It has to stop NOW.  We simply cannot afford to continue supporting people that do not belong here.

I support profiling and checking ID's and absolutely MUST have a social security number if they intend to get a tax return.

Just yesterday, I had my social security card and driver's license copied before I was able to file for my tax return. And I have known my accountant for over 13 years!  Not a big deal, I happily complied.

MY REVIEW:  I love a good mystery and this one was very intriguing.  For those who love music and are themselves musicians, you will be able to relate to the character of Liesel Bowers and her great passion for her music.  It's this passion that has kept her strong in times of terrible loss and pain. She witnesses her mentor's murder and copes only through her music.

However, the people that murdered her mentor are now after her and she must learn who it is that is trying to kill her and why before it's too late?  She also has a great problem about who she can or cannot trust, which makes the story more interesting.

You learn about her difficult childhood and how she coped with more loss.  This book has some great moments of suspense and believe it or not a blooming romance in the midst of all the chaos.

Might as well share it here, too.

It was Friday night and my boys and I were invited to a friend's house to watch a movie and play games. So, about 6:45 PM we left, my husband left at 6:30 PM, his job had him work a 12-hour shift to cover for someone.  Anyhoo, we had an awesome time. We watched Real Steel, it is a pretty good movie, I would say it was similar to a Rocky movie, except with Robots. We liked it.

The boys and I got home and nothing looked out of the ordinary. I unlocked both locks to our front door and immediately noticed that our flat screen TV and sound bar were missing, I looked across the kitchen and saw the back door wide open. 

"Oh, God! We were robbed!"  That's what went through my head. I immediately called my husband at work and then called 911.  I had to remain calm for my boys sake.  I had to keep a cool head.  I called my friends to let them know what had happened.

I didn't want to touch anything until the police arrived, but walked around the house, all of  our drawers and closets were opened, the mattresses were askew, it was a mess.

I wanted to cry. But just couldn't do it in front of my boys. The police finally arrived and he asked us a few questions and began to try and lift finger prints. Nothing.  The scumbags were gloves.

Finally, my husband arrived and he was the one that noticed that they came through one of our windows. They tried all of them and unfortunately we had forgotten to lock one, so they climbed through and ransacked the room. They stole all of my husband's guns, $$, cell phones, etc.

The policeman wrote everything down and assured me that he would be putting in for extra patrol that night. That was a small comfort, but not enough to make me feel safe. And my husband had to go back to work!  Luckily, a good friend called me about 12:30 am and asked if we needed him to spend the night to watch over us, of course, I said yes.  And he did. He spent the night on the couch with a loaded gun.

I was so happy that they missed my pistol and was able to sleep with it next to my bed as well. But every single noise woke me up and I didn't get any sleep whatsoever.

And to top all things off, and this what has made me the angriest, is that those scum-sucking-low-life bastards (excuse my language) hurt my CAT!  They must have either kicked her or threw her.  All I know is that she is limping severely. What kind of vile human being injures an innocent and defenseless animal?  She is the sweetest little thing. She probably saw them and showed them some love and for her effort was injured.  My poor beautiful baby.

We are going to put sensors on our doors and windows and motion lights all around our house. That's all we can do.  I am also debating about taking shooting lessons and getting a permit to carry a concealed weapon. I believe it will be worth the cost.

There is some good news and  it is quite funny.  Our computers are so old that they didn't bother taking them! LOL!  My monitor probably weighs 50 lbs and the boys are even older than mine. Our towers are just as antiquated. Thank goodness for old things.

Well, that's my story.  We are doing okay.  My boys are still a bit apprehensive and I must admit so am I. But we will get through this, I know we will.  I trust in God to keep us safe and secure.  And no one was hurt, and everything, except the money, is replaceable.

Air Force to cut 10,000 airmen, shift aircraft

OLITA C. BALDOR (AP) - Associated WASHINGTON The Air Force says it will cut the service by nearly 10,000 active, National Guard and Reserve airmen next year, as part of a broad move to downsize and shift capabilities around the country to be better prepared for wars of the future.

Air Force leaders say more than half of the personnel cuts, and much of the aircraft and other equipment moves, will be borne by the Air Guard.

The Air Force says the service cannot absorb any further cuts in active duty forces because that would limit their ability to respond to multiple crises. National Guard leaders are criticizing the cuts.

Aabout 3,900 active duty, 5,100 Air Guard and 900 Air Force reserves would be cut in the next year.

Well, so much for Obama trying to keep Americans employed. Instead he ops for firing or laying off 10,000 hard working Americans and forcing them to draw unemployment benefits and God help them, Food Stamps.  

We need our military and National Guard and reserved airmen strong and ready for action. What kind of message is this sending to our enemies?  Obama is continually weakening our armed forces and for what purpose?

We need these people in case of serious natural disasters. We cannot afford to lose not even one.  This is devastating.

MY REVIEW: I love reading devotionals, especially in the morning. So when I heard about reviewing this particular morning devotional I immediately signed up for it and was chosen, yay me!  

What I loved about this book is that it not only gives a scripture, but then you get a personal insight and story to go along with the scripture. I absolutely loved the "Faith Step" at the end of every page.  It kind of nudges you to be a little more proactive in  your walk with God and sometimes it felt like it was a hug from the writer.  This book was written with a lot of love, heart and soul and I personally would love to thank each other author for giving their precious time and sharing all those personal notes. It made a difference.

One thing that I did not like about this devotional was that there were hardly any scriptures given in the King James Version, so I had to have my KJV bible on hand to look up the scripture of the day, instead of using the version the author chose.  Other than that teeny tiny tid-bit, I absolutely LOVED this book.

I'm Muslim and I'm married to a Catholic White American from [redacted]. My mother hates my husband because I did not convey him that he must convert to Islam. My mother is so ashamed of me, she demanded me to divorce my husband. My mother told that I brought shame to my family and if my father was alive, he would had me killed. She said to me that a Muslim cannot be a friend or married a non-Muslim because we do not have the same beliefs. She has so much hatred that I can not leave my two sons alone with my mother. In the back of my head I'm worried that she may harm them. For Muslims, men killing women mean nothing them it is like garbage disposal to them.

I'm going to share the pictures of my handsome sons.

Please, please keep writing and informing how Muslims destroy family and enslaves wives, children and anyone who does not share their beliefs. Muslims make Islam "cancer call Muslim" and America needs to know and to be aware of it.

I love your dedication of saving America from the mad religion. We are being brutalized by mad mafia.


Needless to say the photo of her and her boys was just beautiful. I advised her to take her husband and children and move. ASAP.

How much more proof do people need to realize that Islam is not a peaceful religion?  This poor lady is clearly afraid of her own mother and is fearful for the lives of her boys.  And yet, has the courage to speak out and warn Americans of the danger of Islam.  

I am not going to say that all Muslims are evil, because that is simply not true, however, from reading and trying to understand the Qu'ran, I have to come to realize that there seems to be a distinct correlation with the degradation and brutal abuse of their women and daughters with the law of Sharia.

We are hearing of so many honor killings, and just recently the case in Canada where a man and his wife killed their three daughters and his polygamist wife.

People need to be aware that there is intolerance in this religion, make no mistake. And some will go to great lengths to protect and force people to adapt and acquiesce to their radical demands. 

This e-mail speaks volumes and the fear is almost tangible.
