How Lord of The Rings Should Have Ended

Have a great weekend.  I'll be posting more of these later on.  They are just too funny not to share.

As a huge fan of the LOTR I think that alternate ending was fantastic. The Star Trek ending was good too.

Have a wonderful weekend, Leticia!

About the Lord of the Rings one… Yeah I get the joke but if we tackle the issue from a storytelling point of view:

There is evidence that Tolkien himself wrestled with the eagles as a plot device.

We can take it this way: the giant eagles are not steeds that any save the occasional wizard calls upon for rescue.
They’re a force of nature outside common human experience and represent the miraculous.

Another point is that the hobbits represent the smallest and the humblest.
Mythically speaking, bad guys like Sauron are usually brought down by the smallest and the humblest.
Not by guys riding super raptors, who thus would cease to be small or humble.

Personally… I would have written it that the eagles are too elemental and pure of creation to bear up anyone carrying anything so tainted and evil as the one ring… but Tolkien never checked in with me.

Magpie, okay. I like how you broke it all down. Very good. But also glad you got the joke.

You talk about birds, sister, and I take an interest…

Magpie, I love birds!! Cardinals are my most favorite. Oh, whom I kidding? All birds are gorgeous, except maybe the vulture, ewwww....

Along with Grosbeaks, Cardinals are very beautiful birds.
Did you know the Northern Cardinal is the state bird of seven states?
(Don't ask me which ones though)
