Police say teen forced mom to buy her a car at gunpoint

FORT MYERS — Southwest Florida officials say a 17-year-old girl forced her mother at gunpoint to buy her a car.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the teen was charged with battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and unlawful possession of a firearm by a person younger than 18 years old. The teen is at a juvenile detention facility and is not being identified because of her age.

Authorities say the girl pointed a gun at her mother and pistol-whipped her.

The mother said she did not want to press charges because her daughter had been accepted to several Ivy League schools.

Authorities say the gun had been stolen from a Lee County Port Authority officer last year. The teen was not charged in that crime.

Wow!  The youth of today.  This is the entitlement  mentality that the Left has poured into this generation of kids.  Spoil your kids, give them what they want, don't even think about disciplining them or it will hinder their freedom of expression and stunt their growth, or whatever....

The mother in this article apparently has allowed her daughter to do as she pleased and gave her everything she wanted.  And maybe, just maybe, she got tired of giving into a whining spoiled teenager and finally, said, "no." And look what happened.

Once those Ivy league schools get wind of this heinous little stunt, that teenager can forget about attending any one of them. She is a loose cannon.  

Kids need discipline, they need and require guidance, and most importantly they must learn right from wrong.  They need to know their actions have consequences.  That young hooligan got away with a terrible crime.

Mega-millionaire Donald Trump today said during an interview with FoxNewsInsider that Barack Obama is having trouble with, and spending millions to fight, the ongoing questions about his birth, his birth certificate and his eligibility to hold office – and the longer the issue goes on, the more he is convinced there are problems with the president's eligibility.

His newest comments on an issue he first raised in an ABC interview more than a week ago came today on the Fox News Channel.

"The fact is if you're not born in the United States, you cannot be president. He is having a hard time. He spent millions of dollars trying to get away from this issue. Millions of dollars in legal fees trying to get away from this issue. I brought it up just routinely. All of a sudden a lot of facts are emerging, and I'm starting to wonder myself whether he was born in this country," Trump said.

Since Trump has publicly expressed an interest in running for Republican president,his raising of the issue has rocketed it into the national spotlight and helped establish it as a possible component of the 2012 race.


This all started with an interview he had on the View.  I like Trump, he doesn't pull any punches.

Crystal Cathedral, a church with guts

OneNewsNow: A California mega-church's stance on homosexual marriage has left some choir members upset, while others say it's the right move by church leaders.

Members of the choir at the Crystal Cathedral recently were requested to sign a covenant asking them to adhere to biblical guidelines as representatives of the congregation, including a stance against homosexuality. The covenant signals a first for the Garden Grove mega-church, known for omitting mention of sin in its positive messages, in requesting members to agree on a lifestyle in line with biblical teaching. The decision reportedly left choir members upset.

Dr. Scott Lively of Defend the Family International tells OneNewsNow that churches must toss out political correctness and replace it with scripture.

"I think there's a tendency in churches across Southern California to accommodate political correctness -- and that's very, very dangerous," he warns. "We're not supposed to be involved in tailoring our message to suit the people.

"We're told, 'Let God be true and every man a liar'-- and that means we stand for the truth of the Bible, no matter what the rest of the world thinks."

Sheila Schuller Coleman, senior pastor of the Crystal Cathedral, announced in a statement that the choir covenant "includes a definition of marriage that may have contributed to the hurt" of choir members.

Asked if he approved of the covenant, church founder Robert H. Schuller -- Coleman's father -- said it goes against what he has built the church on. "I have a reputation worldwide of being tolerant of all people and their views," he told the Orange County Register. "I'm too well-educated to criticize a certain religion or group of people for what they believe in. It's called freedom."

The mega-church filed for bankruptcy last year, and the covenant is one of many changes that the church has undergone in the last several months.

I firmly believe that anyone should be welcomed at a church. However, there is one thing to welcome a person and another to tolerate a lifestyle that goes against biblical principles, whether it be homosexuality, people having affairs, drugs, murder...etc.  

Church is the one place where we should be told about sin and the penalty of sin, which is death, not a death from this world, but a spiritual death, apart from God, our Heavenly Father.  God created hell for Satan and his demons not for man.  

John 3:16 ..."For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Sincere confession of sin is a heartfelt acknowledgment that our sin is wrong, that we don’t want to continue in it, and that we are ready to exert ourselves—under the guidance of the Holy Spirit—to resist it. God doesn’t expect perfection, because none of us are capable of achieving it, but He does expect sincerity.

FURTHERMORE............. Have you all heard about the new NIV bible is going to have gender-neutral language.  They were not happy with the "Thee's and Thou's" from the KJV, so they got rid of those, and now decided to add "sisters" or "woman" when only "man" or "brother" is mentioned in a bible verse.  Don't forget this is the bible that takes out the Blood of Jesus.

Marines on Ground in Libya

Correct me if I am wrong but did not Obama state earlier that we would not have any kind of land invasion?  And yet,  more than 2, 200 American Marines are on Libyan soil? 


So, um....Obama, once again, lies.  Because the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit are presently on Libyan soil and protecting its citizens from Qadhafi forces.  They are armed so wouldn't this be construed as a "land invasion?"  And why is Obama involving the United States in what is clearly a Libyan, domestic, internal affair?  We absolutely have no business butting in where we do not belong.  My opinion, folks.   


As for the marines it has been reported that their efforts are successful, which is fantastic news.  So, I applaud these brave soldiers for serving their nation with great dignity and courage. God bless them and keep them safe.

Planned Parenthood Exposed

Seriously, folks, this is how the Left behave. They are vulgar, angry and miserable people who carry so much hate that they feel the need to spew it out on the public and take it out on the most innocent of people, the pre-born babies.

They CAN prevent pregnancy but choose not to. Abortion is NOT birth control. Someone please educate these ignorant people. However, in saying that, I feel that some of them are at a point of no return. They feel justified in having sex without consequences and treat the pre-born baby as a disease that must be eradicated.

This is a horrid wake-up call of how far society has fallen. They lack human compassion. They lack the respect for life, and they also lack respect for themselves if they believe they will come out of this unharmed.

This is what liberalism has produced and it is an ugly picture.

The Fogel Family Massacre

However, after listening to Glenn Beck speaking about an interview he watched on tv of the father of Ruth Fogel, where he spoke of love and peace and forgiveness. I was put to shame. 

 And libs call the Jews terrorists.

Infanticide by medical breakthrough

Researchers from the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics in Nicosia announced on Sunday that they have discovered and tested a process to identify Down Syndrome in a child while the baby is still in utero.

This sort of technology has been around for a while, but currently if a woman wants to test her unborn baby for Down Syndrome, she has to undergo an invasive procedure that has the risk of resulting in a miscarriage. And even then the test is only accurate 80% of the time.

But with the new process, a simple blood test is all that it takes to discover whether or not an unborn baby has Down Syndrome. The test can detect Down Syndrome earlier, easier, and with more accuracy than the current practice. Which makes this new process, on the surface, seem like a wonderful step forward in the field of medicine.

With the advent of this test a couple could easily find out before birth if their child has Down Syndrome and prepare for the logistical and emotional challenges that would present themselves.

Philippos Patsalis, the lead researcher for the project, heralded the advancement, pointing out that the new procedure would allow a woman to identify Down Syndrome in the 11th week of pregnancy, which, he pointed out, is early enough for her to get an abortion.

Dr. Brian Skotko, who is a spokesman for the National Down Syndrome Society, said that the new test would allow women to find out whether their babies have Down Syndrome, before the pregnancy is outwardly evident. So, in his words, "They will be able to make a very personal decision without anyone realizing it."

The purpose of this advancement in medicine is not to protect life or provide a better quality of life, it is an early detection to see if the mother wants to murder her unborn child.  Was that too harsh?  Too, bad! I call it like I see it.

If anyone has ever known a precious child with Down's Syndrome they know that these beautiful and I use the word "beautiful" in ever aspect of the word, are so full of love and joy that you cannot help but fall in love with them. They carry an innocence that stays with them for the rest of their lives.  To me, they are God's little miracles on the earth and make it such a better place.

Crowd in New York rallies against hearing on U.S. Muslims

Some 300 people gathered in Times Square on Sunday to speak out against a planned congressional hearing on Muslim terrorism, criticizing it as xenophobic and saying that singling out Muslims, rather than extremists, is unfair.


Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons and the imam who had led an effort to build an Islamic center near the World Trade Center site were among those who addressed the crowd.


"Our real enemy is not Islam or Muslims," said the imam, Feisal Abdul Rauf. "The enemy is extremism and radicalism and radical ideology."


The chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Peter King, has said that affiliates of al-Qaeda are radicalizing some American Muslims. He's planned hearings starting Thursday on the threat he says they pose.


King, a Republican from New York's Long Island, told CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday that he sees an international movement with elements in the United States of Muslims becoming more radical and identifying with terrorists.


Speakers at the cold and drizzly Times Square rally said King was targeting Muslims unfairly.
"American Muslims are as fully American as any other faith community," said Rabbi Marc Schneier, founder of The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding. Singling out Muslim Americans "as the source of homegrown terrorism" is an injustice, he said.


Democratic Congressman Andre Carson of Indiana, one of two Muslims in Congress, said he wanted to say "to the Peter Kings of the world: We will not take your xenophobic behavior."


Imam Shamsi Ali, the leader of the Islamic Cultural Center on Manhattan's Upper East Side, said, "We are here today because we love this country. We are here today because we want to see America remain the most powerful and the most beautiful country in the world."


Simmons promised "to make sure that this rally is taken to the next generation and to a new age" by enlisting entertainers and sports figures to tweet about it, including Kim Kardashian, who tweeted Sunday that she stood with Simmons in "promoting love and compassion."


A smaller group rallied a few blocks away in support of King's hearings. 


Beth Gilinsky of the Jewish Action Alliance heaped scorn on the Times Square rally's slogan, "Today I am a Muslim too," and referenced Rauf, who was given a reduced role in the Islamic center project this year because he had other commitments.


"I want to tell Imam Rauf and Imam Shamsi Ali and all of the rest of them up there that I am not a Muslim today," Gilinsky said. "Yesterday I wasn't a Muslim. Today I'm not a Muslim. I'm not going to be a Muslim for even 24 hours, Imam Rauf, and I'm not going to be a Muslim tomorrow. You will not convert me."


Good on Mr. King.  We must remain diligent about the radical movement of Islam in the United States.  


They have no intention of backing off until the United States succumbs to their theological teachings and convert to Islam.  Make no mistake people, that is there goal.  


My opinion and I am sticking to it.


AND lest we forget it was JESUS CHRIST that died for our sins, He took the penalty of our sins and was tortured and put death for us, He took our place so we would not have to go through that. That's LOVE.  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  


No other person in the history of the world can make that claim.  There is only ONE way to heaven and that is through Jesus Christ.  Nuff said.

Another classic and lovely lady gone. She was a great comedienne and sure knew how to make a person laugh. She was equally beautiful as well as talented. I pray she rests in peace.

Recently a 20-year-old Saudi Arabian national was arrested by the FBI in Texas, suspected of planning a terrorist attack using explosive chemicals. His possible targets included the Dallas home of former President George W. Bush. Authorities say the Islamic suspect indicated in his diary that he had been plotting an attack for years and obtained a scholarship so he could come directly to the United States to carry out jihad.

Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch says in a sane society, the alleged "student" would never have been allowed into the country -- but Spencer admits he does not see any sanity on the horizon.People say...'You can't restrict their freedom of religion' -- [and] meanwhile they're working to restrict our freedom of religion, working to restrict our freedom of speech and freedom of conscience and so on," he points out. "But that's okay because [they argue] we can't restrict their freedom of religion."

 This is an old argument but needs to be continually addressed.  Too many times Christians, Jews or any other non-Muslim religion in the United States are being forced to acquiesce to the ridiculous demands of the Left, that we should just accept Islam and Muslims into our nation and adjust to their demands and live in harmony with them.  

 Furthermore, what they fail to comprehend or refuse to acknowledge is that Muslims would never consider being harmonious with an infidel regardless of religion, race or a person's sexual preference.  I firmly believe that we are simply tolerated as a lesser people.  Just my opinion, folks.  This may not ring true for all Muslims, but I doubt it.


We have a rogue president and administration who continually trample on the constitution of the United States, disregard the people's voices and welcome outsiders who want to do us harm.  Any person from a Muslim nation or who practices the theology of Islam should be profiled before setting one foot on American soil.  


It is time to stop illegal immigration and granting Visas to every person that wants to live here.  Not every person requesting citizenship has our best interest at heart.
