President Obama Diminishes the Office Daily

Bryan Fischer wrote this article and I couldn't agree more with him.
President Obama made an appearance Wednesday night on Jon Stewart'’s "“The Daily Show,"” and diminished the presidency while doing it, a feat he seems to accomplish on virtually a daily basis.
The president of the United States on a comedy show. And Karl Rove thinks Sarah Palin is the one who doesn’t have the gravitas to sit in the Oval Office!
The president got testy with Stewart over the health care bill, at one point leaning forward and jabbing the table with a frown on his face. He defended the disaster his time in office has been by saying when we were talking about “change you can believe in,” “we weren'’t talking about change you can believe in in 18 months.”
The lowest point of the interview - and I would submit one of the lowest points in the history of the presidency - came during an exchange with Stewart over Larry Summers. Despite the criticism he received, the president said Summers “did a heck of a job,” the same phrase President Bush used in praising the hapless head of FEMA during Katrina, Mike Brown (“heck of a job, Brownie”).
As soon as the phrase was out of the president’s mouth, the audience began to laugh, and Stewart began to cackle. He interrupted the president of the United States, and called him “Dude” in the process. “You don'’t want to use that phrase, Dude.”
It'’s telling that Stewart saw nothing inappropriate in calling Obama “Dude” to his face.
This indicates Stewart'’s lack of respect for the office and for Obama personally (I’m trying to picture someone calling George Washington “dude” and I can'’t do it), and worse, is evidence that Obama has so lowered himself and his office that Stewart didn'’t have to think twice about doing it.
Americans want and need someone who looks and acts presidential. Right now, they don'’t have it.
Obama has disgraced himself and has mocked, once again, the honorable seat as president.  He behaves more like a movie star than as the Commander in Chief.  I am so ashamed of how he is representing himself to the whole world.  He is a joke.

Osama bin Laden Threatens France in Recording

(NewsCore) - Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden issued a strong threat to France Wednesday that its citizens would be killed if its troops did not pull out of Afghanistan.
"As you kill, so shall you be killed," bin Laden said, according to a translation from the Middle East Media Research Institute of a recording that aired on Al Jazeera television.
"How can you possibly take part in the occupation of our lands, and support the Americans in the killing of our women and children, yet expect to live in peace and security?" he added.
The 9/11 mastermind fired a verbal warning over the French parliament's overwhelming July vote to ban wearing veils in public to protect women from being forced to wear full-face coverings such as Muslim burqas.
Earlier this month, France's top legal authority approved the ban, which is due to take force next year everywhere except public places of worship.
"Since you have acted tyrannically, believing that you have the right to prevent free-born women from wearing the veil, don't we have the right to expel your invading men by striking their necks?" bin Laden asked. "Of course we do."
The world's most wanted terrorist offered little hope to the families of five French nationals kidnapped last month in Niger by radicals associated with bin Laden's global jihadist network.
"The kidnapping of your experts in Niger ... is in retaliation for the tyranny you practice against our Muslim nation," he said.
The recording was released as a report surfaced that Afghan intelligence forces arrested a top al Qaeda commander for the first time in the nine-year old war.
Muhammad Umri, 70, was taken into custody at the Kabul airport after trying to board a train to New Delhi, according to an Urdu-language daily newspaper. He was headed to Saudi Arabia.
Bin Laden did not mention the arrest in the recording -- and it was not immediately clear when the message was taped -- but he did find time to take a shot at the U.S., which has hunted him unsuccessfully for more than a decade.
"You should consider the state to which the U.S. has deteriorated as a result of this unjust war," bin Laden warned France, referring to the conflict in Afghanistan.
"It has reached the verge of bankruptcy in all the major areas, and soon, it will go back beyond the Atlantic Ocean, Allah willing."

Can you believe this? Yes, I suppose you all can.  This is a blatant threat against the citizens of France.  How will their government react?  Look at his hypocrisy, calling the French government "tyrannical" when he is the one who has butchered thousands of innocent people.
I hope someone will hunt this, for lack of a better word, monster down and put him out of his misery.  And hope they "strike" him on his neck. He must be stopped.

Call Me Senator, Hollywood ridicules Boxer

One year ago Senator Barbara Boxer rudely interrupted Army Corps of Engineers division leader, Brigadier General Michael Walsh after he addressed her as, "Ma'am" after questioning why the levee's in New Orleans had not been fixed.

Illegal Aliens Canvass for Votes in Wash. State

FOX NEWS:  SEATTLE -- When Maria Gianni is knocking on voters' doors, she's not bashful about telling people she is in the country illegally. She knows it's a risk to advertise to strangers that she's here illegally -- but one worth taking in what she sees as a crucial election.
The 42-year-old is one of dozens of volunteers -- many of them illegal immigrants -- canvassing neighborhoods in the Seattle area trying to get naturalized citizens to cast a ballot for candidates like Democratic Sen. Patty Murray, who is in a neck-to-neck race with RepublicanDino Rossi.
Pramila Jayapal, head of OneAmerica Votes, says the campaign is about empowering immigrants who may not feel like they can contribute to a campaign because they can't vote.
"Immigrants really do matter," Jayapal said. "If we can't vote ourselves, we're gonna knock on doors, or get family members to vote."
So far the illegal immigrants going door-to-door aren't meeting opposition. Craig Keller, an organizer for Respect WA, a group pushing for stricter immigration law in the Washington, said he doesn't mind illegal immigrants volunteering for vote drives, he just wants to make sure mistakes on the voter rolls don't allow them to vote.
"Anybody can go out and wave a sign, but when it comes to who's making the choices, there's no question they need to be citizens," Keller said.
In close elections across the country, the immigrant and minority vote is considered key for candidates, especially Democrats.
Earlier this week in Nevada, a television ad urging Latinos not to vote sparked outcry from Democrats, who called it a dirty trick meant to keep Hispanics home and boost Republican candidates. Univision and Telemundo -- the nation's two largest Spanish-language networks -- canceled the ad, which the Republican group Latinos for Reform had planned to eventually run in Nevada, Florida, California, Texas and Colorado through the Nov. 2 election.
Seattle is home to a wide array of immigrant communities, from Latinos to east Africans and Asians.
Congress declined this year to consider overhauling the country's immigration law, much to the chagrin of immigrant advocates who had expected Democrats to do so by now.
Still, OneAmerica Votes launched one of the largest get-out-the-vote campaigns in the state on behalf of Democratic candidates. The organization is an offshoot of OneAmerica, one of the state's largest and the most influential immigrant-rights advocacy group.
Through home visits, phone banks and mailings the organization is aiming to reach about 40,000 registered voters in the Seattle area in an attempt to help Democrats gain ground in key races. Volunteers include other types of people who can't vote, such as legal permanent residents.
About 150 volunteers rolled out in nine cities across Washington this past week, knocking on 3,000 doors.
In Bellevue, a city of nearly 123,000 east of Seattle, Gianni knocked on 25 doors and spoke to 15 people, she said.
One man, a naturalized citizen from the Philippines, said he knew what she was going through after she shared she was in the country illegally.
"There's always a risk," Gianni said in Spanish about her legal status. "But if there's a change, I would feel like I contributed, even in a small part, to a change we all need."
Gianni arrived in the United States on a visa 13 years ago looking for work and stayed. For a while her only son lived here, but has since moved back to Mexico.
"In order for there to be a change to our broken immigration system," she said, "I believe one has to fight."
Well isn't that just fine and dandy.  Illegals canvassing the streets promoting Democratic candidates.  This really ticks me off.  They should be arresting and deporting this woman along with the rest of her cohorts! And yet they are given free reign to walk our streets with absolutely no fear or repercussions from the authorities.  How do like them apples?
Seems to me the illegals have more rights than the average American. Maybe we should quit paying taxes, resign our legal citizenship and come in as illegals and get all the perks they seem to get.
I am so furious right now.  I am disgusted with our government and I hate that I am helpless to stop the convoy of illegals coming into my country. They stomp, burn and deface our American flag, millions of dollars are wasted on them, and to top things off, they feel the have the RIGHT to march on our streets as legal citizens. Talk about audacity!!!
I am so fed up I could spit nails.  Nuff said!

NPR axes commentator over Muslim-related comment

Fred Jackson and Chad Groening - OneNewsNow

A liberal commentator who has worked for both National Public Radio and Fox News has been fired by the public broadcaster for a remark about Muslims.

Juan Williams was being interviewed by Fox's Bill O'Reilly earlier this week when the host asked him to comment on the idea that the U.S. is facing a dilemma with Muslims.

"Political correctness can lead to some kind of paralysis where you don't address reality," Williams replied, then continued: "Look, Bill, I'm not a bigot. But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."

According to an NPR story this morning, the network has received strong criticism and late last night issued a statement saying Williams' contract had been severed. The NPR statement said Williams' remarks were "inconsistent" with the network's editorial standards and practices and "undermined his credibility as a news analyst."

A conservative media watchdog says NPR's firing of Williams demonstrates the ridiculous double-standard the taxpayer-funded network has when it comes to Islam. Tim Graham, director of media analysis at the Media Research Center, points out that NPR did not fire commentator Andrei Codrescu for an anti-Christian commentary he wrote in 1995.

"He talked about the rapture and people who believed in the rapture and then said: 'This happily volatilized mass of the saved were born again in Jesus Christ. The evaporation of four-million people who believe in this crap would leave the world an instantly better place.'

"Guess what?" Graham continues. "He's still there in 2010 -- 15 years later. [He] never got fired. And so bashing Christians is okay, but saying that Muslims make you uncomfortable is obviously a firing offense."

Graham believes that NPR was upset with Williams because he appeared on Fox News, giving the network's "fair and balanced" slogan credibility. In fact, the NPR report notes that Williams' association with Fox News -- which the public broadcaster describes as "largely conservative" -- has "long been a sore point" with NPR's executives.

I am sure no one is surprised by this, NPR has been known to be quite biased when it comes to their liberal views.  I don't think Mr. Williams said anything that deserved his termination.

Funny stories... Enjoy

We all could use a laugh, so here are some oldies but goodies.

"A young family moved into a house, next to a vacant lot.
One day, a construction crew turned up to start building a house on the empty lot.
The young family's 5-year-old daughter naturally took an interest in all the activity going on next door and spent much of each day observing the workers.
Eventually the construction crew, all of them "gems-in-the-rough," more or less, adopted her as a kind of project mascot."
They chatted with her, let her sit with them while they had coffee and lunch breaks and gave her little jobs to do here and there to make her feel important.
At the end of the first week, they even presented her with a pay envelope containing ten dollars.
The little girl took this home to her mother who suggested that she take her ten dollars "pay" she'd received to the bank the next day to start a savings account.
When the girl and her mom got to the bank, the teller was equally impressed and asked the little girl how she had come by her very own pay check at such a young age.
The little girl proudly replied, "I worked last week with a real construction crew building the new house next door to us."
"Oh my goodness gracious," said the teller, and will you be working on the house again this week, too?"
The little girl replied, "I will, if those as*!#!es at Home Depot ever deliver the fu*#'ng sheet rock..."

"A mother was taking a shower when her2 year old son came into the bathroom and wrapped himself in toilet paper. Although he made a mess, he looked adorable, so she ran for my camera and took a few shots. They came out so well that she had copies made and included one with each of their Christmas cards. Days later, a relative called about the picture, laughing hysterically, and suggesting that she take a closer look. Puzzled, the mother stared at the photo and was shocked to discover that in addition to her son, she had captured her reflection in the mirror wearing nothing but a camera!"

"A woman and her sister were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a variety of nuts. As they were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if they needed any help. The woman replied, "No, I'm just looking at your nuts." The sister started to laugh hysterically, the boy grinned, and she turned beet red and walked away."

"A lady picked up several items at a discount store. When she finally got up to the checker, she learned that one of her items had no price tag. Imagine her embarrassment when the checker got on the intercom and boomed out for the entire store to hear, ‘PRICE CHECK ON LANE THIRTEEN, TAMPAX, SUPER SIZE." That was bad enough, but somebody at the rear of the store apparently misunderstood the word 'Tampax' for ‘THUMBTACKS.’ In a businesslike tone, a voice boomed back over the intercom: ‘DO YOU WANT THE KIND YOU PUSH IN WITH YOUR THUMB OR THE KIND YOU POUND IN WITH A HAMMER?’

Random thoughts...

Well, I early voted today. Glad I got that out of the way.  I have five signs in my front yard supporting key Republican representatives for Arkansas.  I am rather surprised that no one in my neighborhood has messed with them.

Moving on...

Have you noticed how disrespectful kids are today?  Now granted I live in "The Hood" so my neighborhood is predominately black.  The boys and men wear their pants down to their knees.  Anyhoo, they walk in the middle of the road and WILL NOT move out of the way.  Well, today, we were on our way to soccer practice and a truck was coming one way  and we were headed the opposite direction.  There was a bunch of stupid teenagers walking real slow in the middle of the street so we couldn't get around them.  So, I yelled to them "excuse me!" and they barked at me to go around them, my husband yelled back at them to use the sidewalk and then we heard several expletives being spewed at us from all of them.  Arghh....I would love to have popped them in their mouths.  And what's worse the girls are just as horrid. Absolutely no respect!  For their elders or neighbors.

They throw their garbage in other people's yards, blare their rap music all hours of the day and then to top things off, stand in the middle of the road and talk at the top of their lungs to each other.  What is that all about?  And it's not just blacks, it's most young kids to young adults. They don't give a rats-rear-end about talking back and using foul language.

Just yesterday, the morons next door were smoking dope on their front lawn with a van in the middle of it. It really is disgusting.  I truly wish we had the money to get out of this neighborhood.  I hate it. And I am worried for my boys to be around this volatile environment.

Nuff said.

Bill O'Reilly Gets Whoopi Goldberg and & Joy Behar to Walk Off The View

I love this! Bill O'Reilly was right on target and these two Left-wing radical feminists liberals could not handle the truth. They literally believe the idiocy they are spewing out. They were unable to combat the facts so they leave in a huff. Which proves if you are winning an argument with a liberal, they will either,
1. Spit in your face. 2. Insult you.  3. Cuss at you or  4. Tuck tail and run away.

Kudos for Barbara Walters for apologizing for the immaturity of Whoopie and Joy.

Typical liberal behavior.  Great job! Mr. O'Reilly.

The Waiting Blog Tour

Thank you LitFuse for providing me with a copy of this book to review.

About The Waiting: Book 2 in the Lancaster Secrets Collection

Book 2 in The Lancaster Secrets collection and hot on the heals of the best-selling The Choice, The Waiting, a stand alone story, is a compelling page turner. Jorie King has been waiting for Benjamin Zook to return home to Lancaster County so they can marry. When news arrives that Ben has been killed, Jorie finds comfort in the friendship of his brother Caleb. That friendship ripens into love, and it seems that they are meant to be together. But when the unexpected happens, their worlds are turned upside down once more. Will Jorie trust God to lead her into the arms of a new man?

A multifaceted story about complex people living the simple life. Readers will find themselves transported into the world of the Amish and deeply invested in these wonderful characters.

My Review: There is just something about the Amish that intrigues me so.  I am fascinated with their way of living.  And I try to get my hands on as many Amish novels as a I can.  This book is no exception.  We meet Jorie King who is a wonderful and caring teacher who is waiting patiently for Ben King, to come home to her, but then she learns that he has died in the line of duty.  She does her best to move on.  Then there is Caleb Zook, who happens to be Ben's older brother who is also recovering from a painful loss as well.  There is so much in this book that I cannot possibly write it all.  There is a mean-spirited busy-body in the midst accompanied by her equally mean-spirited daughter.  There is  a cougar, in the story, lots of twists and turns in this novel that keeps you on your toes.  I love how God's wonderful love is woven into the story with great passages from the Holy Bible.  The Amish are not perfect people and this book reveals that they have the same struggles as those in the "Englisch" world.  They just know how to cope with it differently and that is through God's merciful grace and love.  They faith is what gets them through the difficult times, and believe me there are some doozies in this novel.

A Good Question

Okay, now that I got that song off my chest....MOVING ON

How often does your pastor, from the pulpit, address political 'hot button" issues like abortion and gay marriage?
This is a question from the OneNewsNow poll.

A complaint has been filed with the Internal Revenue Service against an Iowa church on the basis of political involvement.

Next month, voters in The Hawkeye State will have an opportunity to vote against renewing terms for three state Supreme Court justices who voted in favor of homosexual "marriage." Pastor Cary Gordon of Cornerstone World Outreach in Sioux City sent a letter to pastors around the state encouraging them to join in the effort to remove the three from the bench. In response, Americans United for Separation of Church and State filed a complaint against the Sioux City pastor.

(wait approx. 20 seconds into the file for interview to start)

Pastor Gordon tells OneNewsNow that Christians are often accused of shoving their religion down others' throats -- and if they say the same things inside the walls of the church, they are accused of bringing politics into religion. "You can't have it both ways," he remarks.

Rev. Cary Gordon (Sioux City, IA)"We're tired of the hypocrisy of these people because they desire to ensconce -- and frankly they're doing it -- ...secular humanism [as] the new state religion of the United States of America in violation of the original intent of the First Amendment," he laments.

Gordon stresses that despite complaints from groups like Americans United, he will continue to preach his convictions on Sunday.
"I have never, nor will I ever, get a message from the Holy Spirit and then go check with the IRS tax code first to see if it's okay to preach it," he states. "I'm tired of pastors submitting to this tyranny -- and I'm expecting to try to get the IRS to sue us so that we can take it all the way to the Supreme Court and restore freedom in America's pulpits."
Gordon's church is represented by Christian attorneys from
Liberty Institute.

Obama To Get Out of Dodge After the Election

From American Thinker:

More evidence Obama knows there will be a Democrat bloodbath at the polls: he has changed his schedule and is flying away for 12 whole days, just two days after election, and is going to the other side of the world. Those recriminations are not going to be fun, and its best to be an honored guest in places that feel honored to have a presidential visit. Chidanand Rajghatta reports in the Times of India:

The White House has advanced President Obama's visit to India by two days, according to sources. He will now be landing in India on the night of November 5, flying most likely into Mumbai first.
The second  leg of the trip will be the twice-postponed trip to Indonesia, the country where the young Barry Obama was adopted by his Indonesian stepfather and acquired the name Soetoro and possibly Indonesian nationality and the religion of Islam (he was registered in school as a Muslim).

He will also visit Japan and South Korea. Presumably a visit with the Emperor of Japan is not on the schedule, to avoid the embarrassment of will-he-or-won't-he speculation over bowing low to the monarch whose father led Japan to war with the US.

Honestly, don't you just feel the sudden urge to kick him?

Is he already running scared? Can he not ever face any kind of conflict or dilemma without tucking tail and running?  And excuse me?  How much is this trip, that the White House so graciously gave him, going to cost the taxpayers?  Anyone want to take a guess?

MY REVIEW:  I couldn’t wait to start reading this book.  First I loved the very vivid descriptions of the B-17 Flying fortresses and how they were flown during combat mission, absolutely fascinating, lots of graphic detail. You can almost envision the men who are flying them, and how they endured the pain of seeing their fellow comrades fall.

We meet our main characters Major Jack Novak, pilot of a B-17 plane.  He is an excellent pilot and walks in a lot of pride, something he hadn’t really noticed but has to deal with.  He is injured on a mission and winds up in the care of a very beautiful but reserved nurse, Ruth Doherty, who refuses Jack’s romantic advances.   Ruth is having a hard time with accepting God’s forgiveness in dealing with a painful and haunting past so she convinces herself that she doesn’t need anyone. Jack aggressively pursues her, with a lot of ups and downs in the process of dealing with his own problems.

I like how the characters are interwoven with their Christian friends, Charlie and May who have a budding romance as well.  I became quite attached to the pair.

There is romance, war action, and so much more in this novel.  A very well-written book, you won’t be able to stop talking about once you read it.  I cannot wait for book 3, with the Novak’s youngest brother, Ray.

Thank you, LitFuse for providing me a copy of this book to review.

Can they overcome the past to find a brighter future together?

Major Jack Novak has never failed to meet a challenge--until he meets army nurse Lieutenant Ruth Doherty. When Jack lands in the army hospital after a plane crash, he makes winning Ruth's heart a top-priority mission. But he has his work cut out for him. Not only is Ruth focused on her work in order to support her orphaned siblings back home, she also is determined not to give her heart to any man.

As the danger and tension of World War II rise to a fever pitch, Jack and Ruth will need each other more than ever. Can Jack break down her defenses? Or are they destined to go their separate ways?
