Bakery displays morals, now faces eviction

An Indianapolis cookie shop could be evicted from its longtime location for refusing a special order from a college homosexual group.

The bakery "Just Cookies" has operated in a city-owned market for over 20 years. The president of the board that oversees the market told the Indianapolis Star that he would "hate to lose them" as a tenant -- but that could very well happen because owner David Stockton took a moral stand and did not want to endorse homosexual activity.

Controversy arose this week after the owners of the bakery cited moral objections to a special-order request for rainbow-decorated cookies for next week's "National Coming Out Day" observance at a nearby university campus. Stockton told the caller he did not feel comfortable in supporting homosexual values, especially because it would not set a good example for his two daughters.

Micah Clark of the American Family Association of Indiana says there are reports the city might evict Stockton, citing a local "anti-discrimination" statute.

"Indianapolis passed a sexual-orientation city ordinance five years ago," Clark explains. "...We warned [at that time] that this type of thing would happen if they passed an ordinance elevating a sexual behavior to the same moral equivalent of race or skin color."

Had the shop filled the special order, the owner felt he would be providing a microphone for homosexuals to celebrate their lifestyle. But there is another consideration, says Clark.

"If this were a Muslim-owned bakery, what would happen?" he wonders. "I don't think the city would pursue it the way they're pursuing it now. I think this is part of the liberal agenda where people must conform to the views that our culture wants in support of homosexuality."

In an interview with the Star, the AFA of Indiana spokesman argued for the rights of business owners. "It's one thing if someone walks into a store and buys a cookie off the shelf, but [the Stocktons] were being asked to become part of the [pro-homosexual] celebration. To make rainbow cookies for a special event with which the company has a disagreement -- I think that goes beyond the pale of what we should expect companies to do."

Meanwhile, homosexual groups are circulating memos encouraging people to stop purchasing at Just Cookies. Clark's response to that is to ask residents to do business there in support of the owners and their wholesome beliefs.

The Star reports the organizers of the homosexual celebration found another bakery to fill their order -- "The Flying Cupcake."

I am rather curious to know if this homosexual group targeted this particular store?  Indianapolis is a huge city there has to be dozens of bakeries. Did they peruse ads or look in the yellow pages or store windows honing in on an establishments that displayed the Christian symbol of the fish?  I am just asking?  This is a bit too coincidental, something is just not right.

Again, the gays scream and demand tolerance and force us to accept their lifestyle but they refuse to acknowledge or respect anyone else.  Tolerance my you-know-what.

This was deliberate.

Developer: No plans to move Islamic prayer center

‘Our identity has been hijacked by the extremists,’ says Sharif El-Gamal

The developer of a proposed Islamic community center that would be located within a few blocks of the Lower Manhattan site of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks said Wednesday that there are “no plans for moving” it despite the firestorm of opposition that has arisen.
“This has been very unexpected. It’s been an eye-opener to see how my country, the United States, views my religion, Islam,” Sharif El-Gamal, chairman of Manhattan-based real estate company Soho Properties, told Matt Lauer live on TODAY Wednesday, referring to vehement opposition to what opponents to the community center have called the “ground zero mosque.” “It’s a very humbling moment and a very sad moment for me personally.”
A Brooklyn native born to an Egyptian father and a Polish Catholic mother, El-Gamal is a practicing Muslim. Referring to the Sept. 11 attacks, he told Lauer: “What happened that day was a very horrific event … the people responsible for that event were people who hijacked my religion and my identity. Just imagine if somebody went and stole your wallet and committed identity theft. That’s what’s happened to me and to my community.”
The center would be located at 45-51 Park Place, adjacent to the World Trade Center site. The proposal to develop the former Burlington Coat Factory into a $100 million, 13-story Islamic community center and prayer space has spurred controversy not only in New York, but across the nation. Businessman Carl Paladino, who is campaigning for the New York governorship, has vowed he would stop the development by invoking eminent domain.
El-Gamal denied reports that there are discussions under way to move the proposed site to 30 Cliff Street, about seven blocks away. “There are no discussions about moving this project,” he declared.
“This has been an eye-opener,” El-Gamal reiterated. Referring to his Muslim faith, he added: “We are peace-loving Americans. Fear makes people irrational, and our identity has been hijacked by the extremists.”
You got it folks, the mosque is going to be built regardless of the majority of Americans who have vehemently protested.  
I am at a loss for words, surprisingly so.

She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Republican." "I am,"replied the man. "How did you know?" "Well," answered the balloonist, everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me." 

The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Democrat." "I am,"replied the balloonist. "How did you know?" "Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you're going. You've risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met but, somehow, now it's my fault."

British girls undergo horror of genital mutilation despite tough laws

WARNING: THIS VIDEO CONTAINS DISTRESSING AND DISTURBING IMAGES this is for mature responsible adults. I truly feel the word MUST get out and all women regardless of race, religion or political stance, we must band together and unite to stop this horrific procedure on innocent little girls.

Some 500 to 2,000 British schoolgirls will be genitally mutilated over the summer holidays. Some will be taken abroad, others will be "cut" or circumcised and sewn closed here in the UK by women already living here or who are flown in and brought to "cutting parties" for a few girls at a time in a cost-saving exercise.
Then the girls will return to their schools and try to get on with their lives, scarred mentally and physically by female genital mutilation (FGM), a practice that serves as a social and cultural bonding exercise and, among those who are stitched up, to ensure that chastity can be proved to a future husband.
Even girls who suffer less extreme forms of FGM are unlikely to be promiscuous. One study among Egyptian women found 50% of women who had undergone FGM "endured" rather than enjoyed sex.
Cleanliness, neatness of appearance and the increased sexual pleasure for the man are all motivations for the practice. But the desire to conform to tradition is the most powerful motive. The rite of passage, condemned by many Islamic scholars, predates both the Koran and the Bible and possibly even Judaism, appearing in the 2nd century BC.
Although unable to give consent, many girls are compliant when they have the prodecure carried out, believing they will be outcasts if they are not cut. The mothers believe they are doing the best for their daughters. Few have any idea of the lifetime of hurt it can involve or the medical implications.

WASHINGTON - Senate Republicans have blocked an effort to repeal the law banning homosexuals from serving openly in the military. The partisan vote was a defeat for homosexual rights groups who saw the provision in a defense authorization bill as their last chance any time soon to overturn the law known as "don't ask, don't tell."

With the 56-43 vote, Democrats fell short of the 60 votes needed to advance the legislation. It also would have authorized $726 billion in defense spending including a pay raise for troops.

Senate Democrats attached the repeal provision to the defense bill in the hopes that Republicans would hesitate to vote against legislation that included popular defense programs. But GOP legislators opposed the bill anyway, thwarting a key part of the Democrats' legislative agenda.

Now, homosexual rights advocates say they worry they have lost a crucial opportunity to change the law. If Democrats lose seats in the upcoming elections this fall, repealing the ban could prove even more difficult -- if not impossible -- next year.

"The whole thing is a political train wreck," said Richard Socarides, a former White House adviser on homosexual rights during the Clinton administration.

Socarides said President Barack Obama "badly miscalculated" the Pentagon's support for repeal, while Democrats made only a "token effort" to advance the bill. "If it was a priority for the Democratic leadership, they would get a clean vote on this," he said.

Democratic Sens. Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor of Arkansas sided with Republicans to block the bill. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., also voted against the measure as a procedural tactic.  Under Senate rules, casting his vote with the majority of the Senate enables him to revive the bill at a later date if he wants.

Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine had been seen as the crucial 60th vote because she supports overturning the military ban. But Collins agreed with her GOP colleagues that Republicans weren't given sufficient chance to offer amendments.

Reid allowed Republicans the opportunity to offer only one amendment to address GOP objections on the military's policy on homosexuals.

Collins said she planned to vote against advancing the bill unless Democrats agreed to extend debate so that her colleagues could weigh in on other issues.

Jim Manley, a spokesman for Reid, said the senator would be willing to allow more debate on the bill after the November elections.

"Today's vote isn't about arcane Senate procedures," Manley said. "It's about a GOP's pattern of obstructing debate on policies important to the American people."

An estimated 13,000 people have been discharged under the law since its inception in 1993. Although most dismissals have resulted from homosexual service members outing themselves, homosexual rights' groups say it has been used by vindictive co-workers to drum out troops who never made their sexuality an issue.

This was a great victory not only for all conservatives but for the safety of our military personnel.

Obama Omits “Creator” From His Declaration Of Independence Quote

The Teleprompter in Chief made a mistake…..or did he? Speaking before the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, President Obama left out the words, “by their Creator”, while quoting the Declaration of Independence. Was this deliberate? You’ll have to decide.
Obama said, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, endowed with certain inalienable rights: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
And of course the correct quote, as is found written within the Declaration of Independence reads: “We holdthese truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Listen for his "long pause" before he says, "endowed." 

Was this an simple oversight, or was it intentional?  What's your opinion?

Congress to be told of 60-billion US-Saudi arms deal

WASHINGTON (AFP) – In the largest US arms deal ever, the administration of US President Barack Obama is ready to notify Congress of plans to offer advanced aircraft to Saudi Arabia worth up to 60 billion dollars, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday.

The newspaper said the administration was also in talks with the kingdom about potential naval and missile-defense upgrades that could be worth tens of billions of dollars more.
The administration sees the sale as part of a broader policy aimed at shoring up Arab allies against Iran, the report said.
The 60 billion dollars in fighter jets and helicopters is the top-line amount requested by the Saudis, even though the kingdom is likely to commit initially to buying only about half that amount, the paper said.
In its notification to Congress, expected to be submitted this week or next, the administration will authorize the Saudis to buy as many as 84 new F-15 fighters, upgrade 70 more, and purchase three types of helicopters -- 70 Apaches, 72 Black Hawks and 36 Little Birds, The Journal noted, citing unnamed officials.
The notification will set off a congressional review. Lawmakers could push for changes, try to impose conditions or block the deal altogether, though that is not expected, the paper said.
Earlier media reports said that to assuage Israel's concerns, the Obama administration has decided not to offer Saudi Arabia so-called standoff systems, which are advanced long-range weapons that can be attached to F-15s for use in offensive operations against land- and sea-based targets.
Muslim sympathizer president decides that he is going to aid a Muslim nation with missile capabilities (upgrades), fighter jets and helicopters. 
Islam is practised by all Saudis and governs their personal, political, economic and legal lives. Islam was born in Saudi Arabia and thus is visited by millions of Muslims every year.  This means no other religions or churches would ever be allowed on their soil.  In my opinion, this means that everyone who is not practicing the religion of Islam would be considered their enemy, right? But Obama, doesn't seem to care about that, he is willing to arm them to the hilt.  Where do his loyalties lie?  It is not with the United States.
Furthermore, if you recall back in May of 2010 Obama and his administration demanded severe pay cuts to our military personnel.  Please tell me how people still support this radical lunatic?
Israel and every non-Islam nation should be very concerned with this turn of events.  We should be worried.  I most certainly am.

911 Tribute

We will NEVER forget!  We will not submit to terrorists, we will stand strong and we will NOT give up.  This day only makes us want to fight harder and stronger to protect our Christian nation and our heritage.  

Many precious people were slaughtered without mercy or compassion all in the name of Allah.  This day does not weaken us but unites us and makes us a power to contend with.  We are not going to fall back and watch Islam take over our nation.

God bless the United States of America!  May she stand with vigilance, pride and strength.

Hartford's Inclusion of Muslim Prayers in Council Meetings Sparks Outrage

The decision by Hartford, Conn., leaders to begin kicking off their council meetings with a Koranic prayer in a show of solidarity with Muslims led to a busy morning Wednesday for staff members who were bombarded by hate mail overnight.
"All night long, the e-mails have been coming," Petrel Maylor, an executive assistant to Council President rJo Winch, told "I've been called everything except a child of God."
Winch, who was holding a news conference Wednesday to explain the change in invocations, gave her blessing to Muslim prayer in a press release Tuesday.
"I feel it is very important that, as a council, we project a culture of inclusiveness in the city of Hartford," Winch said in the release. "Too often it is our differences that divide us. In my opinion, it is our combination of differences that makes us strong."
Council leaders decided they would invite local imams "to perform the invocations at beginning of the council meetings in September," a break from the typical start of meetings with Christianprayers, or occasionally an invocation by a rabbi.
But critics say Hartford leaders are making an eternal mistake."One of the goals of the council is to give a voice to the many diverse peoples of the city, which is especially important given the recent anti-Islam events throughout the country," the press release said.
I know I continue to  harp about Islam, but I cannot sit idly by as I watch my nation submit to Muslim influence.  And IT IS submission and acquiescence.  We are losing our Christian heritage little by little. 
As a believer in Jesus Christ, I know that our Lord will return and we won't have to deal with the deviancy of our society, but no one one but God knows when that day will come and we must NOT stop fighting for the future of our children and their children.
This is a Christian nation, regardless of what Obama and his liberal allies may think and I for one will never be silent.  In God I trust, not Allah.

French debate: First it was burqas, now burgers

FLEURY-MEROGIS, France - The bacon is gone from the bacon burgers, replaced by smoked turkey, at a fast food restaurant outside Paris, and a new certificate on the wall proclaims that its beef comes from cows slaughtered in accordance with Islamic law.

On Wednesday, popular French fast food chain Quick, the No. 2 burger chain in France after McDonald's, started serving halal-only food in 22 of its French outlets, targeting France's large Muslim population.

Quick says sales doubled at restaurants that have tested the concept, but the move also has raised questions about how much France should accommodate Muslim traditions. France argues that integration of minorities into society is the only way to preserve social cohesion.

The spat over halal burgers runs alongside a high-profile debate in the French parliament over whether to ban the wearing of Islamic face-covering veils in public.

I thought France was finally standing up to the Muslims when they banned burqas, but no, they are just like everyone else accommodating them and giving them more power in their country. France is making a huge mistake in doing this.  They are going to lose their heritage and hand it over to the Muslims on a silver platter.  Sharia law will be next and as wimpy as the French government is, it will go into effect.

Muslims are like juggernauts and they will not stop until they have complete world domination and Sharia Law will be the only law.  When are we going to see a nation stand up to them and tell them that they MUST adapt to the culture of the nation they want to live in? And not the other way around.

We must fight for our heritage and start protecting what rightfully belongs to us and not stand down to Muslim pressure.

Feds Sue Arizona Sheriff In Civil Rights Prob

The U.S. Justice Department's civil rights unit sued Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio on Thursday for refusing to turn over records in a civil rights investigation.

The lawsuit says the Maricopa County lawman's office acted in an "unprecedented" way by refusing to hand over documents that could show whether Arpaio's tough-on-crime traffic sweeps violated the civil rights of Hispanics who were pulled over and whether he mistreated prisoners in his custody.

Federal authorities say they can't move forward with their investigation until they get arrest records and other information.

Arpaio, who gained national attention for making inmates work on chain gangs, live in tent cities and wear pink clothes, says the Justice Department case is politically motivated. His attorney calls the federal demands wildly over broad.

The government has been trying since March 2009 to get officials to comply with its probe of alleged discrimination, unconstitutional searches and seizures, and having English-only policies in his jails that discriminate against people with limited English skills. Arpaio had been given until Aug. 17 to hand over documents it first asked for 15 months ago.

We should have known this poor guy was going to get harassed by the government it was just a matter of time.  No way could they stand by and watch felons work for their food and housing and not get their free cable tv, and other luxuries.  

Sheriff Arpaio had the guts to make prison a prison, not a luxury resort for convicted felons.  

And I LOVE the English-only policies, this is America after all, NOT Mexico, Pakistan, Iraq, or what have you.  

We need to stand by this courageous man who has enforced our laws to the best of his ability and for that, he is being sued.  What a country we live in.  I am appalled that our government feels they have the right to sue an American state and now an American sheriff just doing his job.
