Just Because...

Okay, so I woke up this morning relishing the fact that I could sleep in an extra 30 minutes (boys are on vacation) and was in a great mood, my last day to work before for the Thanksgiving weekend. I had breakfast, enjoyed a wonderful conversation with hubby, grabbed my keys to warm up the blazer, got to the blazer opened my door glanced over and noticed something black and jagged was hanging over the roof of the blazer. I ran to the back and then to my horror saw what it was; my entire back window was smashed in to a billion little black pieces!! Yep, we were vandalised in the middle of the night.

Much to my chagrin, I forgot to set the alarm! *tears* I am so used to hubby taking the blazer to work at night that I didn't feel it was necessary to set it, forgetting hubby was on vacation! I feel like such an idiot!! We immediately called the police and within 15 minutes they arrived took our statements and left. We did find out that both boys heard a loud noise in the middle of the night and did not bother to wake us up.

The good news is hubby was able to find a used window at a salvage yard for a small amount of money. My problem I don't think he knows how to install it???? We'll find out won't we? Just found out, I will be helping??!!!! way! I am expected outside in a few minutes. This will be interesting.

I hope you will enjoy this cute video of someone singing "I Will Survive." It cheered me up, too!

Before I forget, I want to wish everyone a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! And don't forget, "calories, calories." Remember what movie that came from?

Self-esteem movement creates 'arrogant' teens

From OneNewsNow..

A pro-family advocate says a recent study published in Psychological Science highlights the problem of too much positive reinforcement.

The study compared teens from the 1970s with teens today, and researchers found that today's teens are highly overconfident, more arrogant, and expect more things to be handed to them rather than earning their way. The researchers concluded that the self-esteem movement may have gone too far.

Dr. Bill Maier from Focus on the Family agrees. He says over the past two decades a "cult" of self esteem has developed within parenting and teaching, and society is just now seeing the fallout from it.

"We've even had experiences here at Focus on the Family with our Human Resources department where young, new employees right out of college come in for an entry-level position and they expect to have a corner office with a view of Pike's Peak and a nice salary with big perks -- and they're kind of surprised to learn that that's not in the cards for them," he notes. "So I do believe we really are setting up kids for failure and frustration if we lead them to believe that life is going to be a bed of roses and that the world owes them everything on a silver platter."

He encourages parents to give praise where praise is due, but also to be willing to correct children when they do wrong. Maier believes when parents balance praise and discipline, they are preparing children for the real world. "If we believe that every child is just this inherent fountain of goodness and we don't implement consequences when a child doesn't follow through, when a child deliberately breaks the rules, again what we're doing is we're going to create a whole generation of young people who just don't get it and who are really going to have a lot of difficulty getting through life," he concludes.

Christian theologian and seminary president Dr. R. Albert Mohler, Jr., concurs. In a February 2007 column, Dr. Mohler writes that while praising effort and achievement yields positive results, "praising for the sake of praising" -- one of the tenets of the self-esteem movement -- "hurts far more than it helps. It is a recipe for individual and social disaster."

I couldn't agree more with this article. The kids that I see today compared from when I was growing up is a vast difference. We were brought up that you work for your money it is not handed to you. Also, we were taught manners, especially addressing an adult or elderly person, it was and still should be "yes sir/ma'am, or no sir/ma'am."

I have been shoved or pushed aside at the grocery store, bookstores and yep, even at church by rude, undisciplined kids. These same kids, carry around cell phones, expensive video games, i-pods etc. I sincerely doubt an 11-year-old earned those luxuries or even those teenagers.

This generation is growing up undisciplined and spoiled rotten. Kids need guidance, and yes, they need discipline. Money is earned not just given away. If parents continue to baby their kids, then I am afraid their kids will never grow up and become productive mature adults. They will want hand-outs for the rest of their lives. Parents better start wising up or they will be caring for their kids forever.

'Gay' activists engage in 'hate crimes' against Christians

Homosexual militants have been conducting legal demonstrations in opposition to Proposition 8's victory in the election; however, one Christian believes the increased attacks and harassment of supporters of traditional marriage are illegal and should be treated as such.

Dr. Gary Cass of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission (CADC) is calling on law enforcement to provide protection in light of recent assaults on the Christian community. A Michigan church called Mount Hope was recently attacked by a self-titled homosexual anarchist group called Bash Back.

Homosexual activists, according to Cass, have made it a regular practice to protest outside of California's churches, and he contends something should be done about it. "We're calling for the police to protect people of faith for standing for traditional values," he says.

In a CADC article, Cass points out the blatant media bias by liberal news outlets. He believes, if the tables were turned and Christians were vandalizing the property of and physically assaulting homosexuals, "we would never hear the end of it in the media." He notes because the victims are Christians and not homosexuals, the pro-homosexual media covers it up.

Cass admits he wonders why the incidents have not been called hate crimes. "Had the same level of violence and rhetoric been directed toward homosexuals or their groups, there would be accusations of hate crimes," he suggests.

He is urging churches to protect their members, saying that since the people have "democratically affirmed marriage, the true violent colors of fringe homosexual activists are being revealed." Despite growing persecution, Cass contends this is no time for Christians to allow others to run down their rights.

"The rights of Christians to peaceably gather in worship is something that can be abrogated at will by anybody, including these most vociferous homosexual activists who have no qualms coming in and doing the most blasphemous and sacrilegious acts right in the middle of a Christian worship service," he says. "It's time that we stand up."

Cass is asking people to go to the CADC website and sign a petition that will be submitted to appropriate authorities.

This is is getting to point where crimes against Christians is fine with the media and apparently the law. I hadn't heard about this anywhere except through Christian broadcasting.

This is madness and it needs to stop. I know that in the Word it clearly states that we will be persecuted for following our beliefs. I am just astounded of how hateful the liberals are. They want people to tolerate and accept their vile behavior, and those that don't, they get aggressive and hateful. Where is their tolerance and acceptance? I suppose it only works for them and no one else?

The malicious, vengeful hate of the left is just really beginning to surface. They want to silence the believers into submission and they are truly misguided and blind if they think that we are going to be passive and allow them to desecrete our belief and values. This type of behavior cannot go unanswered.

Have you ever been so tired that you literally have to drag yourself out of bed? I felt like that this morning. I wish I could just curl up and stay in bed until I am ready to get up, HA! Wishful thinking...I am ready for this weekend! No soccer games, no conferences, no mandatory meetings, nothing!! Just complete rest this Saturday! YIPEEE!!

My church sponsored a Women's Conference this weekend and I won door prize!! I can't believe my name was called out. I won a whole free month at a very, very expensive gym! I will be exercising during the day while hubby sleeps and my monkeys are at school! My household chores can be put off for an hour, no big deal. I am going to really enjoy myself. Sadly, one of the instructors, who taught aerobics and yoga, was killed about six weeks ago and the personnel have not fully recovered, I was told that no one has even stepped into her exercise room. The gentlemen I spoke with said it would be next year before they open it up again.

I had heard about this woman's death through one of our patients. She happened to jogging with her when out of no where a car came by and hit her. She went into graphic detail (still in shock) and which I will not describe here, but it was a horrible accident.

One more blessing to reveal. I found out that the biggest church in our town was giving karate lessons and that their fee is only $10 a month!! The uniforms cost only $20! I jumped at the chance to take my boys, Wolfie loves it, but Luner decided it wasn't for him (too many push-ups) anyhoo, the head instructor was in the Navy and is a black belt, some of the other instructors are from a posh karate facility which charge over $90 a month, not sure on the cost of the uniform, but they are volunteering at this church and I am truly thankful, there was no way we could afford those expensive classes. I did my best in trying to persuade Luner to stick with it but he was adamant about not continuing. *sigh*

They do have an adult class, but I just don't have the time and I am too uncordinated to do much, you should see me trying aerobics, hee...

Okay, that's it for time, politics!

This YouTube video just surfaced....

I was disgusted with this teacher's behavior. I cannot imagine what this woman is like when the camera isn't rolling.

Teacher 'berates' student for supporting John McCain - OneNewsNow.

Spokeswoman for the Independent Women's Forum says a YouTube video has surfaced that highlights the problem of political indoctrination in U.S. schools.

A recently published YouTube video shows a North Carolina teacher discussing the presidential election in her classroom of young students. At one point the teacher asked the students to raise their hands and state who they were voting for in the school's mock presidential election.
Student 1: "Obama."

Teacher: "You're pulling for Obama. Who are you pulling for? And if you're pulling for John McCain, that's fine; say him as well."

Student 2: "Barack." Teacher: "Obama."

Student 3: "John McCain."

Teacher: "John…oh Lord, John McCain."

Student 4: "John McCain."

Teacher: "Oh, Jesus. John McCain, okay."

Amy Watson, a spokeswoman with the Independent Women's Forum is surprised at how this teacher conducted her classroom under the circumstances.

"Yeah, this woman knew she was being videotaped, and this is how she acted," she says. "Can you imagine what's going on in classrooms where, particularly when they are talking about something as sensitive as what party affiliation or what candidate you'd select, can you imagine how the teachers are behaving when they are not being videotaped?" Watson notes the teacher went on to further berate one of the students for supporting McCain.

Teacher: "What do you all know about that war in Iraq? Talk to me because your daddy's in the military; talk. It's a senseless war. And by the way, Kathy, the person that you are picking for president said that our troops could stay in Iraq for another hundred years if they need to. So that means that your daddy could stay in the military for another hundred years."

Watson believes the teacher was being unfair to the student who probably has enough stress in her life without dealing with the teacher's harassment. She also encourages parents to be aware of these types of political indoctrination attempts.

The superintendent of Cumberland County Schools has responded to the teacher's actions, stating that he was "disturbed" to see the "uncomfortable position" in which the students were placed due to the "inappropriate" actions of the teacher. "Most disconcerting was the military slant that made its way into this discussion," says Dr. William Harrison. The superintendent says he has launched an investigation into the matter and that he will take appropriate action upon its completion.

This type of behavior is disgusting. If I were that little girl's parent I would have raised all kinds of hell.

Yeah, Yeah, I know the election is over, but this just made me so angry. They are only children. She could have made this whole situation fun and challenging, but she decided to humiliate that poor child instead.

Teachers need to stick with the curriculum and keep their political view points outside of their classrooms.

Activist: 'Pastor to presidents' replaced by gay bishop

A conservative Christian activist says it's a sad omen for the Obama administration and the United States that Barack Obama has been seeking guidance from the Episcopal Church's first openly homosexual bishop.

The Times of London reports that the president-elect sought out New Hampshire homosexual bishop Vicki Gene Robinson for advice three times during his presidential campaign. Robinson, whose ordination in the Episcopal Church has caused a deep rift within the Anglican Communion, was reportedly sought out by Obama to discuss what it feels like to be "first."

Robinson notes in their three private conversations, Obama voiced his support for "equal civil rights" for homosexuals and described the election as a "religious experience." Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, believes Obama's consultations with Robinson show the true tenor of his upcoming administration.

LaBarbera suggests Robinson may possibly replace Jeremiah Wright as one of Obama's main spiritual advisers. Wright was Obama's Chicago pastor for 20 years before disassociating with the controversial preacher during the presidential campaign.

AND why doesn't this surprise me? Comments anyone?

Monday blues...

Well, today I stayed over two hours at the doctor's office and I was a bit irritated because the doctor we saw argued with me about giving my kid a shot for infection. So, I spent most of the afternoon at the doctor's office and then thankfully only a few minutes at Kroger getting his prescription filled. I am not in the best of moods.

Well, I was visiting my friend Jana's blog and I am defending why I will not support Obama as my president. I cannot and will not do so. Yes, I am aware that I must honor and pray for him as my leader, but that is something that is going to take a lot of time and soul searching. I am just tired of having to defend my faith and my beliefs, because liberals have this warped definition of what Christianity is. They believe that as Christians we are to accept and tolerate everyone, and so forth. I am too tired right now to delve deeper into this.

How can they expect us (Christians) to accept this: SEE BELOW

Below is one of the largest reasons as to why I cannot support Obama:

This is from

Students for Life has released a video bombshell shot at a Planned Parenthood clinic in New Jersey.

Kristen Hawkins, director of Students For Life America, posed as a woman 21 weeks pregnant, seeking information on an abortion. She describes what the Planned Parenthood nurse told her.

"[She said] they're going to induce your labor. You will birth the child. It's going to be a very hard procedure for you," the pro-lifer relates.

Hawkins says she asked twice if the baby might be born alive. "And she said mostly no, but sometimes it can happen -- but eventually the baby will die, without giving him any medical treatment."

That violates the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, says Hawkins, which calls for medical treatment if a baby is born alive during an abortion. But there has been no enforcement.

"It's so hard to enforce anyway because we know of cases of abortions just strangling the babies and then the babies die," she states -- then asks: "Who is their voice? Who is there advocating for them in court saying I saw you kill this baby? It relies on somebody in the abortion room -- a clinic staffer or something like that."

Hawkins says there are so many cases like the one she uncovered that Congress ought to conduct an investigation and stop providing several hundred million dollars in tax dollars for Planned Parenthood. No other federal contractor, she argues, is "treated with this much leniency."

Activist judges will review Prop. 8 challenge

From OneNewsNow

Lawsuits are being filed to challenge Proposition 8, the voter initiative that overturned the California Supreme Court's ruling legalizing homosexual "marriage."

Supporters of traditional marriage conducted a successful petition drive to get it on Tuesday's ballot in the Golden State. Homosexual activists could do the same -- but, if successful, it would not go on the ballot for two to four years.

Brad Dacus of the Sacramento-based Pacific Justice Institute says there are two reasons why the courts are being used again.

"They're attempting once again, of course, to thwart the will of the voters of California by another lawsuit," says the attorney. "We at the Pacific Justice Institute will not take this lying down."

Reason #2 -- the composition of the California Supreme Court has not changed. As Dacus explains, the same justices that legalized homosexual marriage, albeit temporarily, will be the ones that would make a final decision on a lawsuit.

But if they decide to strike down this amendment defining marriage between one man and one woman; if they decide to do that after unilaterally redefining marriage themselves just a few months ago, ...without question every one of them will be taken out of office," Dacus warns. The public, he believes, will not be satisfied with judicial activism a second time.

On a related matter, pro-family activists in the Golden State reportedly are already working on another initiative. This one is education-related, and would give parents greater rights in protecting their children from controversial instruction relating to sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

Passage of Prop. 8, says Dacus, was the "first battle in protecting the rights of parents who do not wish to have their children indoctrinated to accept lifestyles that violate their convictions of faith."

We all knew that this was going to happen and we need to keep in prayer at all times over this situation. The gays and rogue judges should not be allowed to dictate our lives, especially when comes to saving traditional marriage, etc.

The war has begun, are you ready to stand and fight?

Time to get busy....

Okay, so we felt defeated last night and had our mourning and pity parties. Today is a new day and today I declare to every single bible-believing, God-fearing, Warrior Christians that now is the time we fight.

No, not by being ugly but by PRAYER! We don't know why the Lord chose Obama to win, but that doesn't matter anymore, it is done and we have four years to see what this country is going to do, right?

Let us celebrate that Amendment 8 passed and gay marriage is NOT LEGAL! Praise God! Nothing can stop us from continuing our fight for the unborn and those precious little ones who survive the botched abortion. Obama did not get control of the senate as he had hoped. These are things that we can celebrate victory.

We have been silent for far too long and have allowed the enemy to move into our territory. NOT AGAIN! We are not going to cower in a corner and let him have our future and the future of children. Right?! We will not be silent, we will continue on, we will survive and become stronger. We will be a force to contend with. NO! The darkness will NOT penetrate the light. For we are the representatives of the true Light, Jesus Christ.

So, come on pull yourselves together and know that the enemy has already been defeated he just has to be reminded, right? God did not create wimps and today is the day that we declare in one unified voice that we will not go down without a fight. We may have lost this battle but the war has just begun.

Okay, I am done, hee....

Obama wins, God have mercy on us...

I am sitting here in complete and utter shock at this moment. I am in tears. We are now facing the worst time in the history of the United States, it is not a victory but a spirtual death sentence.

This means
  • More beautiful babies are going to be butchered, and the born alive act just died, babies that survive botched abortions will be carelessly be tossed aside like yesterday's garbage.
  • Israel has just lost its protection
  • Those of us who are gun owners are going to the lose the right to protect ourselves and our families
  • Traditional marriage just got destroyed
  • Say goodbye to our Christian programs like Focus on the Family, CSN, Air 1, AFR, etc.
  • The military is probably either going to get disbanded or shortened to a miniscule amount.
  • Bankrupt coal mining
  • Small businesses going bankrupt
  • Freedom of speech, that's a given
  • Liberal, left-wing nut jobs on the Supreme Court

I am sure I am missing a lot but I am running on fumes at the moment.

Who knows what will happen in Iraq now?

If you were not convinced that we are living in the end times, this should be an eye-opener. America has just voted in an Anti-Christian, Muslim, Socialist and Terrorist sympathizer into the White House.

Right now I feel a great loss and devastation, but I know that God, our ABBA FATHER, OUR CREATOR is still in control and Obama is NOT!

It's rather late and I need to get to bed. I will continue tomorrow.

God bless you all and GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Black Panthers intimidating Repbulican voters....

And so the ignorance continues. Is this a nefarious plot of the black panthers to win the election for their messiah? Louts.

Watch video and let me know your thoughts...

It's almost over...God help hear us

Well, it finally happened, my McCain/Palin sign was vandalised last week! My husband came home and told me it was lying on the road. Apparently some moronic Obama worshipper walked into my yard in the middle of the night and pulled it out of the ground and crumpled it. Thankfully, I was able to salvage it and it is sitting nicely in my yard once again. Take that Obama lovers! I am surprised that it lasted as long as it did. Other than myself and another house, the entire neighborhood is Obama obsessed.

Please, PLEASE be in prayer tomorrow and if you can fast a little bit, even it is one meal, it counts. And for goodness sake, get out there and vote! There is too much at stake.

Okay, so I took the monkeys to a church that was having a "Trail of Treats" thing for Halloween and they simply LOVED IT! All the children were dressed in costumes. This church sets up a trail to follow through the entire gymnasium and every few steps a person puts in a lot of candy. The best part were the themes. It was like walking through the bible, pretty awesome. There was one room that had a huge mountain and thunder and lightening was flashing and there was a real person posing as Moses holding the 10 Commandments, we saw Mary and Baby Jesus etc. They did a fantastic job and the best part, it took about 20 minutes to follow through and the boys little pumpkins were filled with safe goodies (candy, toys, fliers)etc. They do this each year and we will be doing that from now on.

Here is where it gets ugly. My little Luner was telling a person about it and was real excited and guess what came out of that person's mouth? They told Luner, "you still celebrated Satan's day." Can you believe that???!!!! I was livid! My baby came to me so upset and hurt. This was an adult for crying out loud! How dare they say that to a little nine-year-old kid? What the heck?!! Yeah, I am still peeved over this.

I would never, EVER devastate a child like that. I found it so cruel. I told him we didn't do anything wrong and we went to a place that celebrated Halloween in a positive way, they represented God and Jesus. Not to mention it is his auntie's birthday. God made every day, period.

THEN.... one of my kids friends told little Wolfie that there is no Santa Claus, no tooth fairy etc. Needless to say Wolfie was devastated to know the truth. He is six-years-old and I enjoyed being the tooth fairy and Santa Claus, I knew the day would come when he would either outgrow it or learn the truth but was hoping for one more year. Apparently he showed his tooth to his friend and the ugly came out.

Okay, I know that most Christians will disagree with me with the Santa and tooth fairy and the Hallowen bit, but I loved it as a kid and was truly thankful my mom did that for us, it really was special and I wanted the same for my babies.

All right I am ready for some feedback, positive or negative. *smile*
